We drove here today from Boston. We were visiting Boston for the first time. We saw how close Maine was and We decide we should go to the lobster shack because I saw it on tv.. and I checked trip advisor and it said they were opened but I guess I should have tried calling. When we got there it... More

On the day we visited, the wind was blowing and the cape was completely socked in with fog. The little shack offers indoor and outdoor seating right at the ocean’s edge and there’s a cute gift shop next door. The lobsters were perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious. The front display case if is full of homemade desserts. We... More

My daughter took me here when I went to visit her this past July. My grandson was also with us. We all ordered the lobster, which was the Maine attraction, of course. While we were here, we took in the scenery, especially the beach. And it's not far from the airport.

Well, the photogenic lighthouse gets one's undivided attention, and it is worth it, even though you are probably not the only photographer scrambling over the rocks to try to capture that award-winning National Geographic/Yankee Magazine photo. But it would be a shame to miss a chance to have a great lobster roll while you recharge your batteries. The Lobster Shack... More

We were in Maine in mid-May so it was still chilly. We opted to eat inside but then went outside for some pictures and to "touch" the ocean water when we visited the Lobster Shack. The lobster rolls were not large but tasty. The fun decor and the location make this little Lobster Shack a fun place to visit. It... More

This was recommended by my friend. Only could visit for 2 hrs. But, so worth the wait. We ate lobster, lobster stew, and lobster roll. Holy moly. Wish I could go again today. Beautiful day, with great view and temps were still nice for us to sit outside! It far surpassed my bucket list item! Thank you!!!! Maybe one day,... More

We were here twice in Mid-September and found the food to be excellent. Very small inside eating, but the outside eating area is very large and right on the rocks overlooking the ocean. If the weather is good, this is really a great place. Very unpretentious, but worth driving out from Portland to Cape Elizabeth. Best fried whole clams on... More

I've stopped here on and off over the years. Food decent. Special because it's seafood. Very special for the view of the sea and lighthouse. By all means worth a stop if you are a midwesterner visiting the Msine coast.

The Lobster Shack was recommended by both locals and some friends. It is a small establishment, but always seems to have a crowd. The lobster roll was really very good. Not huge, but a good sized sandwich. Was it pricey, maybe, but it was full of fresh lobster and the views outside of the restaurant were wonderful. If you are... More
