My wife and I just got back from 40 Paper. It took us 10 minutes for a hostess to show up. We had reservations for 6PM. Eventually, a server showed up and gave us water and bread, and took our orders. We sat there for...More

This "locals secret" is tucked away on a side street away from the more "commercial" restaurants. The food is imaginative, local and fresh. The pastas are creative and all are homemede and can be ordered gluten free! The GF bread is fabulous...as are the homemade GF...More

My husband and I were looking for a little afternoon bite to tide us over until dinner, and our Inn recommended 40 Paper for their happy hour. They have deals daily from 4-6, including a 1/2 flatbread deal that was only $6. The flatbread we...More

My second meal there, and wow. I was going to avoid it because I'm gluten-free, but I took a chance--more about that in a moment. My special drink was perfect.... followed by mussels in a delicious garlic sauce. The chef sent some special GF bread...More

Food was just ok, very hot - almost like Mexican food. The staff never smiled, seemed like they really didn’t want to be there. We couldn’t wait to pay and leave. Anyplace else in town has to be better, not worth the money at all....More

We have come here over the last few years for a good value on happy hour snacks and drinks, but two visits this year were both bad. The food was OK but inconsistent. Brussels sprouts were burned with too much carmelization. Flatbread pizzas were flavorful...More

After eating for almost a week in Camden, this is our first disappointing meal. Very expensive and food was a definite miss. There are so many other places to eat here, I can't understand how this one can survive. We spent $100 and couldn't finish...More

Wow! What a treasure to find!!! The menu is enticing and we had a hard time deciding what to order. Our waiter was helpful and wonderful and the food was delicious - every bite. And extremely well priced. We will definitely be back!

What a great find in Camden. We were visiting the area last month and read about 40 Paper on Tripadvisor. We decided to stop to enjoy happy hour, and we were not disappointed. We had some great appetizers and cocktails while sitting outside on the...More

Dined here for a meet and greet for a potential hire. Glad I didn't have to pay the bill. Food was OK, unlike another reviewer, I will say better than the owner's other restaurant, whose food and staff left a lot to be desired. Our...More

Description
Located in the century-old Knox Mill, our bistro is situated on top of the Megunticook River, just between the two waterfalls. At Brevetto, our modern Italian bistro cuisine is designed to pair perfectly with our extensive– and almost exclusively Italian– wine list. Brevetto is Italian for “patent,” and throughout the restaurant you will find turn-of-the-century schematics of wine presses and odd, out-dated food machines. In stark contrast to the complicated workings of a “salami washing machine,” our menu is simple and straightforward. We feature a large menu with a range of grilled pizzas, Italian pastas, and a variety of entrées. In addition to our extensive wine list, we also have a full bar with artisan draft beers and liquors. Enjoy your dinner in our inviting dining room, or on our waterfront deck. Relax with an obscure Italian red wine at our bar, or an extra-dry gin martini on the leather sofa. Brevetto has some of the best of both worlds, right in downtown Camden.
