Our 2-night stay in April 2017 was a delight. The co-owners, Mary Jo and Michael, focus on the customer, even before they arrive, as was evidenced by their gracious accommodation of changes in our schedule. Our arrival was met with a cheerful welcome and we were taken straight to our second-floor room, which was clean and perfect for us, but... More

Gym husband and I ate two breakfasts and one 5 course meal here during our stay. Dinner was the Chef meal and husband has the cod and I had the lobster pasta. Delicious. Their orcchietta pasta dish with duck was delicious and I could have eaten that all night.

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous meal at Hartstone Inn. The service was amazing and they were great about working with dietary issues. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend the soufflé for dessert.

Francine's Bistrot has been our favorite in Camden for 5-6 years. Because of the high ratings of the Hartstone, we decided to make a change this trip. We were eager as well to try Fresh, but it was not open. I made a reservation through leaving a phone message since no one answered, but heard nothing back. A couple of... More

This is our third time staying at the Hartstone Inn in the winter. They offer a terrific 2 night package during the winter season and we love to visit Camden in the slow season. This time we stayed in "The Loft" room (in the main house, second floor) and it was a good choice- gas fireplace made it a terrific... More

Simply put this place receives more accolades than Han it deserves. It's not awful, but it certainly is not great with its menu stuck in the 1990's. I've got to believe Chef Michael is capable of more than this. Stop resting on your laurels and show us what you can do ! Chris

Honestly, what more could you ask for? We've stayed here again and again and the Hartstone is as reliable as they come. Tonight's dinner was the best lobster I've ever had (and I've had a lot of lobster). Fantastic staff and a beautiful place. Thank you!

I posted a review on the Hearthstone Inn and Hideaway, so to sum up, if you're looking for a relaxing weekend and some delicious food this is the place to go. The breakfast included with your stay will blow your tastebuds away. That alone is worth a 5 star review but pair it with outstanding service, friendly owners who are... More

Spent the holiday at the Inn with a few friends. Friendly, accommodating staff. Delicious Thanksgiving dinner. The start of a new holiday tradition. Be back in 2017.

The Hartstone Inn is a sweet Inn in Camden Maine. The suites have fireplaces, jetted tubs, and separate entrances. The real treat is the chef's tasting menu. Chef Michael Salmon is a CIA graduate. We had an amazing meal. The wine list is good and the ambience is lovely.
