It was a great place on the river but did not reach my expectations. A bit more seasoning would have been better. The buns were delicious, the lobster roll was a bit over priced and dissapointing.

Biggest and best haddock sandwich I've ever had, not just once but every time It's like a haddock dinner from anywhere else stuffed under a roll Great price, fries or mashed , you can't go wrong yum!

This is a very small hole in the wall. Waiting is usual. There is one cook in the kitchen doing all the cooking and prep. The kitchen is open and maybe not what people want to see. But the fried fish is extremely good and you get lots for the price. There have been off nights but for the most... More

We went here on a Friday and were lucky enough to arrive before the crowds. We were able to be seated immediately and there were still two other tables available. When we went by later that evening, it looked like fifty cars were parked outside for a space that holds fewer people than that! The restaurant overlooks the Penobscot and... More

Unfortunately what happens to good places with good food, these guys are overwhelmed and have trouble handling the business. We were seated before two other large groups but ended up being being served last, an hour wait and portions were skimpy compared to what I had enjoyed here before! I mean 7 or 8 clams in the clam roll and... More

...not anything else. We overdid it on lobster the last few days and in our group of 4, only one ordered a lobster roll and we all regretted it afterwards once our food came out. We ordered cheeseburger deluxe (~$9), hamburger (~$8) , onion rings (~$4.95) and pulled pork sandwich (~$8.95) in addition to the lobster roll (~$19.95). Cole slaw... More

Ok , so we ask our innkeeper Katherine where we can savor a great Lobster roll and she smiles confidently and without pausing says " Every Easter my parents take us to Eagle's Nest . Its a small old shack type eatery on Main st in Brewer that looks exactly like the picture. In fact there are less than 10... More

This is a tiny restaurant with a great view of the Penobscot. They have excellent seafood as well as Americana comfort food. Service is always good and high speed- the locals fill the place quickly. It's worth a stop, it's old and a little dingy, but the plates are clean and the food is good.

Yes please I would like another. Ok, so that's not really possible after eating a very large lobster roll, but you really want to give it a try. This was our first stop after arriving into Bangor, and really glad they were still open. Parking is a challenge since its basically right off the side of the road and we... More
