We were staying nearby in the Hampton Inn and walked over for dinner. We were glad we did. The menu was extensive. The food was delicious. The service was top notch! It isn't a cheap eats place. It is more mid - high mid range. Well worth it!

We had a nice lunch here along the river. We ordered tasty crab cakes and clam chowder. I wish we had ordered more of the crab cakes as they were delicious. The chowder was average.

Our dinner at the Kennebec Tavern was enjoyable. The restaurant is just across the street from the Hampton Inn in Bath, ME. I found the clam chowder to be a little thin, (J.R. Maxwell's was very thick), and the portion size was about medium. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is seaside/boaty, and comfortable.

Scallops, lobster roll and haddock were ordered by our group. It was good, not fabulous. Nicely seasoned, served promptly and most of it (except the potatoes) was a good temperature. The green beans weren't palatable. Our server was the best. They are good about accommodating special diets.

Had a window seat next to a warm and toasty wood burning stove. Had broiled Haddock. Was great. Very homey setting, excellent service. Could be a business lunch or a romantic dinner on the river front. Looks like they have a banquet room with bar. There is a main bar, but hidden from restr. area by a wall.

My wife and I go here several times a year for a decent meal and great views of the Kennebec. The service has always been very good and the food consistently average to a little above average. I have noticed that the last 2 lunches there were better than usual--excellent haddock dishes. I'm hoping this is a permanent change. They... More

Convenient as we stayed at the Hampton Inn which is across the street. Fairly large menu and good selection of drinks. My wife and I had the haddock dinner and it was excellent. We thought the price reasonable although we live in a coastal tourist area and our restaurants are slightly more expensive. We have eaten here before and the... More

Beautiful view of the river. Good food. Nice selection. Nice staff. One of the burgers is named for the local high school and $1.00 goes to the school if you order it.
