We'd heard about this place on a list of "best gastro pubs" but whilst very good, that's its limit. The staff are very welcoming and that is clearly their style, given how they were dealing with everyone. I was surprised by the menu though as...More

Lovely pub with exceptionally friendly staff but I feel that the Sunday lunch is overpriced for the quality and the quantity. The pork belly was very fatty and did not have any crackling. The rest of the meal was ok but I have had far...More

Hi Samantha H Thankyou for your feedback. 'The pork belly was very fatty' wouldn't have it any other way,i'ts the lovely layer of fat rendered down during cooking that give the meat the delicious flavour so on that point: 'GUILTY AS CHARGED M'LORD' I'm not...More

Hi Mat Thanks for your very good review. Just to clarify on the cardinal sin front, the pork belly dish which you ate was a braised dish and had the skin taken off prior to cooking. Hope to see you again soon! All the best.
