I have been going to "The Border" for over 50 years. Excellent service. Delicious food. Many people think it is a Mexican restaurant because of the name, but South of the Border is south of the Mississippi state line (border) in Louisiana.
My wife and I visited this restaurant 4/29/17. The service and food was great and the menu was extensive for the location. We enjoyed our meal and the service, the portions were huge. We will certainly return as we have a camp in the area.
Good Mexican Restaurant for the area, I have eaten there many times and have had no problems. The chips and salsa taste homemade, and I always ask for a second helping.
