This restaurant was recommended by the hotel clerk and we tried it. Nothing posh about it, the ambiance is similar to BBQ joints around home, big open room, a roll of paper towels on the table and kinda minimum service. Drinks come in a bottle...More

I have been going to the Boiling Point in New Iberia, Louisiana since the early 1980's. Although the restaurant has moved to a new location, it is still excellent food and service. The food in central south Louisiana is unique to all other areas of...More

I live about a mile from this restaurant. Visit it weekly. Recommend any boiled seafood, crawfish, crabs or shrimp. Gumbo is delish! Any fried seafood plate is also good.

George, our guide from the Tabasco plant, introduced us to the Boiling Point. Have to admit, I wondered why there were two sink/hand wash stations in the middle of the restaurant when we came in. By the end of our tasting, it became very clear...More

There are very few dining options available on Sunday in New Iberia. If you want more variety, try Lafayette. Fortunately our hotel desk clerk, Emilie at HI Express, recommended Boiling Point. At 6:00 it was crowded with locals. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to their patois....More

A recommendation from the LQ front desk sent us to the Boiling Point. Everything was fresh from the Gulf. The grilled seafood plates were lackluster and overpriced @ 19.99. A better choice were the onion rings and a half-dozen jumbo shrimp. Not little, but the...More

Went for the crawfish, but loved the onion rings. Not being from this region I'm not sure I understand the "appeal" of crayfish. Way too small and messy to eat. Nice touch with the sink in the dining room for cleanup after pulling apart all...More

Description
We are a locally owned family restaurant since 1981. We have just open in a new location just across highway 90. We have been serving Boiled, Fried & Grilled Seafood for 34 years. We are also serving homemade Hamburger Steaks, poboys, chicken, and our signature dishes such as our famous Catfish along the Teche and so much more. Locals are happy we kept the same floor plan, although we do have a Mini Bar to fix mix drinks and serve wine.
