We've been here several times now, and every time we get the same great friendly service and lovely food. The menu changes regularly and they make good use of local produce and ales. This pub is family-run and their passion and dedication to the business...More

Visited at the weekend for a family get together, not the first time we have been and will definitely be back. Food is delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It is a lovely country pub and would recommend it.

We made an impromptu decision to visit this pub having heard some good reports. We both chose to have fish and chips which was cooked perfectly and was presented very nicely too. We had a couple of absolutely delicious desserts that looked too good to...More

Disappointed with the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the food and the general atmosphere. To have shift vacancies (and there were many) advertised on the inside of the Ladies toilet door summed it up for me. I'm not sure I would come back...More

Looking for somewhere to eat when our German colleagues were treating us to dinner. We selected the Fur and feathers which is about 6 miles from Basingstoke. Good beer and food (Bier zerschlagen Fisch und knusprige Gressingham Ente), prompt and friendly service Danke Schon

Fabulous selection of wines, gin and whisky. Beautifully presented food. Not cheap but worth every penny. Helpful staff. Proprietor excellent and knew his business. Very clean and tidy establishment. Not on the main road. Voted Pub of the Year. Looking forward to booking for Christmas.

An individual, independent family owned and run free house.
Daily changing menu cooked with local ingredients when available. We are able to source world award winning cheese, lamb, eggs and game when in season from our village.
We have four real ale pumps and sell at least two local ales at all times alongside Sharp's Doom Bar. We have a large wine list, many served by the glass and an extensive Gin & Whisky offering.
The building is Victorian with huge windows and high ceilings and heated by two log burners throughout winter, for the summer we have a large garden with patio area seating with our resident chickens for entertainment.
