Was told by a local to visit and have great food. This place was busy with locals eating sea food. My husband had Red Beans and Rice with catfish- we all agreed the catfish was cooked to perfection. He also had a bowl of Gumbo for an appetizer. This is not a fancy place where you would get "Parmesan grits".... More
Stopped here after a swamp tour. We had the broiled shrimp plates and the mixed shrimp plates. Very tasty; we were happy with our selections and loved the service. This is a good local restaurant serving fresh food in a pleasant atmosphere.
If you don't like seafood, like me, it was just ok, but if you like seafood, it was very good. My husband and daughter enjoyed both of their dinners. My husband had the catfish and daughter had the shrimp poboy. I just had a chicken breast sandwich which was good also.
We stopped after our tour as was recommended by Captain Lou. The food was straightforward. We got red beans and rice with catfish. We had the shrimp and catfish platter and baby shrimp in a sauce that was like thousand island dressing. Nothing was sooo good but nothing was bad. Just plain and simple.
We stopped by for a quick lunch after an airboat ride in the bayou and this local place is a straightforward choice. Local NOLA/Cajun food at very reasonable price. If you like all sort of fried seafood and stuff, you'll be more than happy.
Close to New Orleans, but a world away. Not far from Jean Lafitte National Park, you can find this friendly neighborhood sea food establishment. The soft shell crab poboys and the fried oysters were fresh and prepared just right. Enjoy
