Thankfully 2 of the top 5 restaurants in the city were closed the day after the Mardi Gras Parade. We did not know this when we showed up to them. Someone on a porch in front of a closed restaurant told us to drive about 3 blocks to the Rusted Rooster. We wanted something we had never had before and... More

This place was recommended by some locals so we went for it. What a find! Very small inside and a few tables outside. Food was great. I had a burger - thick and juicy. Others had other sandwiches and even a salad. Nothing but rave reviews. Friendly staff and good fresh eats - what more could you want? Next time... More

We decided to try a new place for lunch, well... it was way too early for lunch so we decided to find a place for breakfast instead. The service was great, food was even better & setting was authentic. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. She took our order & got our drinks quickly. While we were waiting on food... More

Dropped in for lunch and an impressive menu with fresh ingredients. Small place with burlap items make the atmosphere just country cute. Very clean and will return. I had fries and a Cowa Bunga burger that was delicious. I will return and try the famous biscuit and praline sauce.

If you are ever in the mood for a good ole fashion home-style sandwich with a bit of a Cajun flair this is your place. Cozy atmosphere with lots of windows and light.

Stopped by here while passing thru town. If you want something different from the ordinary burger then give this place a try. Found the burgers to be good and the fries are even better. It's a small place so try and go at an odd hour to avoid crowds. Friendly atmosphere. Would eat here again.

We had tried to get in this place before when we Were in Lafayette but it was too packed! Today we were in town and we were able to get a table! My wife ordered the Patty Melt and I created a burger with grilled onions, bacon, cheddar, avocado, and an egg. They were both awesome! We will definitely be... More

The Rusted Rooster is a solid breakfast and lunch stop. Owned and operated by a local couple this is a must eat place. A common meeting place for local, the coffee and service are second to none. The hamburgers at lunch are hard to beat.
