New ownership has done wonders. Old goodies are back ..solid burgers, great freshly prepared hot chips, buffalo wings, wraps-- it's ALL good and a great place to take the grandchildren as there is a game room with beaucoup machines.

I called Petes to see if they were able to accommodate our group of 13 and was told they could. We left the restaurant we were currently at (terrible experience) and made our way to Petes. They put us in the "party room" and we were able to sit together. Our server, whose name is Joey I believe, was great.... More

This was our first visit in 5 months. I say that because at the old Pete's (before they messed it up) we were at Pete's at least once a week, and 5-6 times in an average month. Times have changed and so has Pete's and it is time for a new generation to take over and start some new traditions... More

We went to Pete's after the BSU/ULL game on Saturday 3 September. We were with friends and our 9-year old son. We were seated quickly and the waiter took our drink order. We had homemade chips and onion rings as appetizers which were very good. We also had the gumbo compliments of some ULL fans and the gumbo was outstanding.... More

The chicken fried steak is well prepared and tasty. The loaded potatoes were just that...bacon, sour cream, cheese. The only negative I can give is that nothing seemed to have enough salt. The salt on the table is sea salt. Good luck with that! The original Pete's was famous for their Big Pete hamburger. Will have to go back to... More

The new management has done wonders! Food was great for what this place offers: bar food. Be aware you need to state how you want your burger cooked when you order it, I wasn't asked, and it came medium well, which is the default, and the menu does state that, which I missed, my bad... They're open late and on... More

Stopped on our way home from NoLa and was happy to find a place open on Sunday! I had the BLT with pimiento cheese and put a fried egg on it. Bread was perfectly crisped, the egg was exactly the way I like it (just runny enough to make the sandwich moist, but not wet) and the chips were awesome.... More

The food surpassed my expectations! (As I am not a fan of any of the other restaurants this group owns) The service was great and the atmosphere too! We both had Lil Pete's. It was the freshest bread I have ever eaten. The homemade potato chips were actually better than I remember them to be... We will definitely be going... More

We went to dinner tonight at the newly opened Pete's on Johnston. For those who want the old Pete's exactly as it was, you are in for a disappointment. For those that want a new, stylish, exciting new place to eat that is based upon the old Pete's you have a lot to look forward to. The restaurant itself is... More
