I had a wonderful birthday dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant had the fireplaces going to emphasize the farmhouse feel. I had the octopus to start with puppy drum and crab meat as a main. I was a little disappointed in the lack of drink choices/creativity.

La Provence is one of the loveliest restaurants in the New Orleans area, and the food is among the best of any of John Besh's restaurants. Our meal began with a glass of Prosecco each to accompany the complimentary house-made pate and toast rounds. Next, we split a special appetizer of octopus over squid ink pasta, a recommendation of our... More

Very good food!! This is actually my favorite of all the Besh's restaurants. Love the atmosphere. Short drive from Slidell. I would definitely go back. Been wanting to go to Brunch there.

A high end brunch experience. Lovely country inn atmosphere and a great variaty of classic dishes. The Sunday brunch offers a three choice special of appetizer, entre and dessert. The duck comfit was especially good.

We thoroughly enjoyed Sunday brunch at La Provence.. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all scrumptious. Service attentive but not intrusive. We will surely enjoy this charming restaurant again soon.

La Provence came highly recommended as a choice for our 50th wedding anniversary "date". The restaurant itself is attractive and reminds you of a French country inn. Bread was accompanied with chicken liver pate and was quite good. My appetizer was sweet corn ravioli and it was delicious. My husband had the Oh La La oysters and he described it... More

We have dined at La Provence many times going back to the Chef Chris days and have generally enjoyed it. For this visit we had a large family group (9 persons) celebrating my wife's birthday. The place was beautiful as usual. Appetizers were o.k., but not outstanding. Four in our party ordered the Filet. It came out overcooked and not... More

This is just a great restaurant. I know in my previous review over a year ago I wasn’t that high on it, but this time I am. We did Mother’s Day here this year. I’m a big fan of John Besh’s Luke restaurant in New Orleans…This menu is quite different, French country, farm to table concept, quaint atmosphere in an... More

The ambiance is that of a provincial French restaurant. Once seated, you're presented with the pate de maison and toasted french rounds, relax and enjoy, there's no hurry. My wife and I have dined there for over a dozen years and since John Besh purchased it, the quality has remained constant. Duck, veal, rabbit, seafood are all good. I've yet... More
