Typical “Dinner” food.

Nothing bad. Good food served pipping hot. Breakfast all day. Eggs were great, hash browns were a little greasy. Generous portions! You really get plenty to eat. Not really Gluten Free as we had thought. Of course eggs, bacon, etc. but no gluten free pancakes, waffles, or breads or gluten free specific foods. Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. Rest of staff never spoke? Overall good food quick. Priced well, two adult dinners under $25.

A great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

A great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The wait staff was outstanding, very friendly, outgoing, and service with an aim to please. We had to wait for a table but it moved fast. We had the 'All American' & 'Big Dot' breakfasts and recommend both to quality, quantity, & great taste. Not showy, not fancy, but good food, at a good price, and a casual dining experience.

I recently visited Dot's Diner, the Kenner location, for breakfast with a friend. WOW!!! The food was hot, fresh and served just the way we ordered it. The service was outstanding. Ms. Sandi was our waitress and she was so friendly and efficient. We were thrilled with our experience at Dot's Diner in Kenner and can't wait to visit again soon. We will be sure to ask for Ms. Sandi as she truly knows what Southern hospitality is all about. 5 out of 5 stars!!!

The Dots Diner in kenner doesn’t serve the whole breakfast menu. I tried ordering for breakfast one morning before I was supposed to March in a parade the breakfast burger hint the word breakfast and they told me they don’t serve breakfast burgers for breakfast. Why call it a breakfast burger if you can’t order it for breakfast take it off the breakfast menu. Will never go back plus it took 30 minutes for anyone to even come to our table to ask for drinks (this was the second time this had happened). Also they overcharged my husband and daughter. My husband had a coupon for a free meal for his birthday and they charged my husband $20. That was an expensive breakfast for a 5yo child and her chocolate milk and my husband had a coffee I didn’t stay for breakfast since I couldn’t get what I wanted for breakfast being the week before I got the same breakfast burger at another location. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!

The attitude of our server was horrible and she refused to honor a military discount for an active duty person.

Our experience at the diner was NOT what we was expecting or accustomed to. I ordered the hamburger steak dinner, my nephew ordered a hamburger w/ fries and his hamburger patty about 35% larger them my supposed to be steak. Our server Jeane( night manager) seem to be annoyed that we were there. We asked numerous times about the vegetable of the day, she said I don't know I will find out. She told us when our food was being placed on the table. Jeane (the night manager) refused to honor a military discount to an active duty military person, because she was not in uniform, she was out having lunch with her family and with a military ID present. I would truly appreciate talking to the owner of this diner. A course I was told that I couldn't speak to anyone. Jeane spilled food on the floor and did not go to the customer and apologize, instead she went a serviced another table. Usually if my bill is under $20 most times I will double the total for a tip if the service is good, but NOT today.I was so disappointed with the whole experience. Again I would truly appreciate talking to the owner.

As a long time customer it’s sad to see. Specials are not special, food quality and portions shrinking. Staff very distant from the past. Not worth going, as a former 2-4 time a week customer. Formerly included drinks with specials, or a salad etc now it costs 6.00 more for 2 to eat. Obviously smaller portions, and staff are affected by fewer people in just the last month or so. 6pm on Friday 2 tables, was there last Monday at 7 and 1 table. Probably done with Dots

Where’s the old Dots

What the hell happened to dots, dots use to be a place to go where you got a lot of food for your buck, and it was good, and everyone new who you were and you got treated like you were family, not so much anymore. There food portions have been cut in half, and there prices have gone way up. So far every time I’ve been to dots, my food was either cold or burned. The waitresses are unfriendly and rude, they never check on you to see if you need anything.

Good Burger, Good People, Good Food, Nothing Fancy

Nice small diner with friendly hometown service. The food is hot and fresh. We ordered burgers and they were the freshest, juiciest, cheesiest homemade burgers we’d had in a long time. Great filler after we arrived in New Orleans on a New Year’s weekend road trip. Saw other patrons with some yummy looking po-boys too, cleaned their plates! Breakfast menu looked tasty… Older joint with small area for seating. Cool place if staying near the New Orleans Airport.

I was welcomed immediately, followed with a menu and a smile. My waitress, Cynthia took my order of the Philly steak with sweet potato fries and a coke. My drink came promptly. My food came hot and delicious. I had to take half home because of the huge portions. I found that what l ordered was discounted because it was before 6 pm. Apparently M-F as long as the order is input in the register by 6pm. A large group came in a couple of minutes to 6, the waitress apologized because there was no way she could get that many orders in before 6. The register doesn’t allow discounts not completed by 6. One guy didn’t believe her & used profanity and left. I was impressed by the waitress's calm demeanor in this situation as were all other customers present. I will come back and ask for this waitress. I had to bite my tongue to keep from lambasting the extremely rude man. Except for him, l had a perfectly wonderful dinner. I understand that the pot roast dinner and the milkshakes are incomparable and will find out when l come back with family & friends that recommended Dot’s to me.

Delicious Burger, Friendly Service and Open Sundays

Sunday evening, in an unfamiliar area, we were grateful to find Dot’s Diner open for dinner. We were in a time crunch and had to cancel our dinner reservation in New Orleans. I thought I was going to be disappointed to not have a Cajun or Creole meal, but instead was quite pleasantly surprised to have one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! And, the sweet potato fries were delicious m. Service was friendly and quick, as well! So, unexpectedly, a well deserved 5 stars. Thanks for being open on Sunday eve!

Good place to get food to go

This place is right outside the airport so it is handy to get food after a flight. The interior is too small for dining in, but it is great for food to go. They are understaffed so expect a bit of a wait. The quality of the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Love Dot’s

Love Dot’s! Clean, spacious seating. Great good and friendly service. Was evacuating hurricane and en route to the airport and decided I needed a good hot meal and comfort food. None better! Open 24 hours too.

Great Place!!

Went here by chance - will be back by choice! Great diner and felt VERY safe! Waitress cleaned everything and then some. She took care of all the customers and with a smile! The food was fantastic! I had the cajun omelet (her suggestions) and it didn't disappoint. The biscuits were fantastic. It's typical diner food menu, but not typical taste. It's a must stop here place!

A hidden gem in the service industry!

My visit was exceptional because of the service I had from Melva Spencer. Her attention to detail and general overall personality was a delight. I am truly thankful for the time I had with her and her great attitude. There needs to be more people in the Industry that truly care about there job and the people who support them. After I was finished and paid. I was in a hurry to get to VA appointment. We rushed out and forgot my wallet. Melva ran out behind me to give it back to me. Once again showing her concern for her customer. Thank you Melva Spencer! My family will always be grateful to you!! Sincerely, The Kuntz family
