I had shrimp skewers with redskin potatoes and spinach; my sister had a shrimp and grits dish. They were both very big portions, but very good. The looks of the restaurant don't match the quality of the food. It's the best place around.

Our daughter had looked this place up as we were down at the casino in Indiana and said we ought to check it out on our way back, so we found it and an older building not very big, but clean and great staff! Food...was excellent and priced pretty good! One of those as we call it "hole in the wall places" where you can get a great meal at a decent price! I had the shrimp and grits which was fantastic!!! Wife had the fried catfish with fries and coleslaw, which she said was great also! Just one of those small hidden gems that you find every once is a while, highly recommend it! But they do stay busy, and you get your monies worth! So if we are back in the area will stop by again and try some different dishes!!!!More

Had dinner here tonight for the 1st time. I had the spinach salad w/chicken, hubby had pork chop & asparagus, my niece had the hot brown. EXCELLENT FOOD!!! The 3 of us had beverages, 2 starters, & 3 meals. Bill was under $55!!! Get there...early, or you'll have to wait in line, but it's worth it!!!!More

even though the wait was long, it was well worth it! food was excellent....everyone said try the prime rib....so well did!! SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!! highly recommend......

We had our daughter and son-in-law and there 2 kids in for a visit. We decided to go to Jewell's for dinner. There was 5 adults including my mother. We all chose something different and everyone said that their dinner was excellent. My son-in-law said...that was the best catfish that he ever ate that it was fried to perfection. I got the Hot Brown and it was the best i have ever ate and I have ate many. That will be the only thing i order from their from now on. My wife loves their beef medallions. Service was also top notch. When in the area make sure that you dine at Jewell's, you wont regreat itMore

We thought about stopping here many times but just haven't because we thought maybe we weren't dressed up enough. I'd have to say now that everyone is welcome and it's upscale food but not necessarily do you need to be all dressed up. I've eaten...many hot browns and I have to say this one was the best I've ever eaten and absolute perfection. Sometimes the meat is not that great and a hot brown and it seems to be somewhat dry. This one was full of flavor and ooey gooey creamy cheesy goodness. My husband got the meatloaf which he loved and will probably order it every time we go back. The menu is very diverse and you will definitely find something that you will enjoy. I'm diabetic and there were lots of options on the menu that fit a low-carb life. I highly recommend giving this place a try.More
