Although very familiar with this restaurant and the Chef/Owner, we had never been to there previously. So based on word-of-mouth and TripAdvisor ranking, we decided to visit Volare on a week night. Needless to say, we were very pleased. Our party of four had the NY Strip, Braised Short Ribs, Chicken Limone, and Chicken Marsala. Additionally we all had different... More

Superlative food and service! Generous portions. The veal and the duck were wonderful. This restaurant strives for excellence and it certainly succeeds!👍

The ravioli is the best I've ever had and I've been to Italy many times. Great choice of wines and beers.

My favorite meal of the weekend! Started with excellent cocktails at the bar. My filet was cooked to perfection and delicious. Very nice atmosphere and service was great. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great steak.

I actually visited several times in 2016 and initially had favorable impressions. However each visit seemed to bring inconsistencies, especially with service at the bar. Sometimes you get a good server, other times you get someone who won't even give you the time of day. My last (and very last) visit was like that. I had someone who didn't even... More

The worse visit ever!!!! I am so disappointed. I had a reservation for weeks in advance. When we arrived they seated several others in front of us. I spoke with with the manager and he actually looked away from me. We even spoke with the owners daughter and she laughed at us.

In Louisville during Kentucky Derby Week, dinning-out reminds one of Valentines' Day, New Years' Eve & the like. Upscale restaurants like Volare are: festive, crowded, & (WARNING!) they serve a "special" Derby Week menu -- there were no menu "substitutions" to be had -- chicken parmigiana & penne bolognese were "out" -and- seabass($54) & 32 oz. tomahawk ribeye for 2... The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I ordered the Cesar Salad and found it delicious. Slightly different from the norm since the cut the Romaine long wise and grill it. Dressing was one of the best I've had. Also on request they held the anchovies. Wine was a very good Malbec. Entree was Capellini with Shrimp and lemon sauce.... More

If you're visiting Louisville and willing to drive a few miles out of downtown I strongly recommend VOLARE. There were six of us for dinner. Many of the entrées appealed to us. We tried the duck and the salmon off the menu and a Sea bass which was a specialty that night. Everything came out hot and was very well... More

I had a business dinner at Volare and the food was absolutely amazing. Stunning carpaccio served with fresh burrata was a joy to eat, and a perfectly cooked Chilean sea bass for main course did not disappoint at all. My only regret was that I had no room left for a desert - they all looked delicious. Service was friendly,... More
