Going to Jack Fry's is always a treat for me. Hard to pass up the shrimp & grits at lunch but a burger is another fine choice. This time I tried a dessert which also went down well - apple cider cake - which was actually a bar-like cake with piped frosting. A bit like a thin carrot cake. Delicious.... More

What an awesome place! I went here with family and friends for a very nice Thursday evening dinner. The inside decor and atmosphere hearkens back to the way restaurant looked decades ago with pictures all over the wall. There was a piano player making great music. The service was good but the place was jumping and crowded so a little... More

I have eaten a lot of salmon for the past 35 years at least 10 to 15 times a month. At home at restaurants. My co worker eats a lot of salmon as well. When I took the first bite it was like Egor in Ratatouille. I had to pause for a second and look and my co worker. I... More

Visited Jack Fry's for lunch. Loved the vintage decor and cozy booth we were seated in. The food and service were flawless. Butternut squash soup was velvet perfection and the chicken biscuit sandwich was out of this world. Have to mention the gorgeous fresh flower arrangement in the powder room- magnolia leaves, cotton branches and creamy peach daisies. Classic charm... More

After trying out a new restaurant earlier in the evening and being very disappointed we on a whim walked in Jack Fry's without a reservation praying for a bar spot on a weekend night which was not to be found. But despite being very busy the staff found a spot for us. We have been to Jack Fry's before and... More

It's a little crowded, but the food was fantastic. It offers a nice atmosphere, and fantastic service.

My Dad hates dark, crowded, loud restaurants. So, why did we all love Jack Fry's? It's the restaurant's authentic, old-school ambiance. From the winding path to your table, the piano player, the antique pictures on the walls, to the oversized bar -- it's all spot on. You can't help but feel like you are someone, somewhere, doing something special. Add... More

Jack Fry's is always a treat. It's like stepping back in time in to a classy joint where the waiters are pro's and the food is delicious. White table cloths, piano player, small but well stocked bar and wine list. You can't go wrong dining here but better plan in advance and make a reservation as it is always packed.... More

This is an excellent restaurant. The atmosphere is old world, New Yorkish but definitely Kentucky. Great food and service.

Spent the weekend here in Louisville and decided to dine here one of the evenings. I will start by saying this was the best meal while here. I have to give a mention to Teresa our waitress. She was energetic, attentive, friendly and overall a great personality. Our appetizers were very good(fried oysters and escargot). Our entrees were scrumptious( Rack... More
