I am not a green bean fan I hear they are fabulous. We have never had a bad meal! Small, intimate dining.

Great food - all gourmet dishes. Service is second to none and your tab won't break the bank. A wonderful, cozy, intimate restaurant

I love this restaurant. It's cozy and the food is just fabulous. I have tried just about everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the Lima beans. I know that looks like a typo but it is not - they are delicious. Mayan is in NULU so you can eat and shop - there are... More

Food was good, not great, and very overpriced for the quality and quantity. If you get the lavender flan, Definitely do not eat the garnish. I thought it was going to be a candied lavender leaf and it tasted like something pulled out of a lawn mower. the rabbit (one of the chef's signature items) consisted of about 4-5 oz... More

This was our first stop in Louisville. The food was absolutely fabulous! I loved the black bean taco appetizer and the vegetarian enchiladas. They were awesome. The service was great too. I highly recommend the Mayan Cafe. The meal was amazing!

We went to a party that was catered by this excellent restaurant so the next time we were in town we went for dinner. We had no reservation so we had dinner out on the sidewalk. The staff was very good and the food was excellent. The appetizers were fresh and delicious and all of our entrees were excellent with... More

After checking all the reviews I was very excited to go and try Mayan cafe, regretfully we left the restaurant disappointed from the water down cocktails to the cold food and lack of service.

Six of us visited here this evening. We shared scallops, empanadas, and guacamole to start. We had the pork, salmon and silver carp for our entrees.Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and service was also exemplary.Small but we'll thought out wine and cocktail list is available. This is a well run, locally owned and operated restaurant that I do highly recommend.

My 13 year old daughter and I travel to Louisville, sometimes weekly, for her Leukemia treatments. Part of what makes the trip bearable for her is trying out new restaurants following her appointments. Just six months ago, she was unable to eat and had to have a feeding tube. Since then, she's been "making up" by experiencing new foods with... More

My first visit to the Mayan Cafe was every bit what I had anticipated it would be. We were met at the door by a very cheerful young lady (Bridgette) who acknowledged our reservation and took us to what may have been the best (located) table in the room. We were promptly greeted by a young man who poured glasses... More
