As a frequent traveler often gone for several weeks at a time I find comfort in a dining experience such as the one I enjoyed with the Ramsey's. It's not 5 star with cloth napkins, just friendly, knowledgeable staff and hot delicious home made food! Highly recommend you save room for the pie's!
This is a typical family style restaurant with a limited menu that features southern style cooking. The food is good, portions are adequate and the service very friendly. The menu features items which tend to be high in fat -- southern cooking -- so maybe it is not for everyone.
Another one of my favorite restaurants. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is like something you would get at Grandma's house. Fresh vegetables, salads and homecooked meatloaf, country fried steak, chicken and dumplings etc. The desserts are wonderful!
Can't say enough about this gem. Packed 7 days a week 3 meals a day. Ambiance not so great. Food is phenomenal. They don't need any stinkin atmosphere for this flavorful seasonal food. Corn daze is a summer favorite. Indulge in their seasonal veggie options. It won't disappoint. Been going to this place since 1985. Obviously its a mainstay of... More
We stopped here for breakfast because it was near our hotel. The food was good, but not great. The patio and atmosphere were really nice and comfortable. The food was a bit hit and miss. Everyone at the table ordered bacon and all three servings looked different. Mine was anemic looking with very little color. The other two were extremely... More
Our number one favorite Lexington restaurant. The portions are huge, and everything in the menu is delicious! It's southern comfort food at its best. There are many locations in Lexington and they are all wonderful. We've never had a bad experience here. It's just the best!
They have a lot of Southern favorites, and delicious vegetables this time of year. Fresh corn was the offering, along with fried green tomatoes and okra. Chicken is a specialty, along with several catfish dishes, and all with cornbread. The food here is yummy. We had a short wait, but they were very busy early on a Saturday afternoon.
