This is a farm to table restaurant so the veggies & herbs on the menu varies daily. Weekends are busy & the KY rain did not dampen visitors but we were quickly shown to our table. We try to make reservations but sometimes we just have to drop in for the soup of the day. My grandson is ready to... More

Loved the catfish, best I ever had! I would definitely recommend the lemon pie! Staff very nice, but needs education on Shaker history and tradition. Good, friendly service though

Wonderful farm to table food. Good selection. Breakfast is buffet. Individual entrees. Vegetables are family style. Staff are always pleasant.

My steak was tough and way over seasoned. The veggies were a tiny portion. The bread nothing special. The pie was stale. It really was not very good for $40...bring a sack lunch...save money and disappointment. I would have given one star but the atmosphere is so nice here.

Living in the area, Shakertown has been a long time favorite of ours - breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had not been there in a while, so were excited to have dinner there last night. However, we were quite disappointed in our meal, as well as the relative new menus (all 3 meals). The chicken dish I ordered came served... More

I found this place while thumbing through the American Way magazine on my flight to Lexington, KY. For the first time in my travels I actually read about a place that was going to be close to where I was actually going. So capitalizing on this, went here for lunch. Okay so you walk in to the dining room and... More

Each member of our large group enjoyed their traditional fare. Service was friendly and good during our dinner meal. The catfish and trout were particularly outstanding, as was the corn pudding.

We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here during the duration of our 3 day stay, and all meals were exceptional! The menu was fresh and deliciously executed for all three meals, the service was fast, informative, and over-the-top-genuinely friendly! The prices were fair for eating on-property of where we were lodging. I have nothing but great things to say except... More

Had lunch and breakfast here. Excellent quality and service. The 10$ breakfast buffet is a good value (beverages are extra). Extremely tasty bacon, cheese grits and baked apples. Lunch served generous portions of bread and coleslaw (just ask for seconds and they are happily served) along with a delicious beef brisket sandwich. Spouse had a very good fish sandwich as... More
