We dined here as a group of 5 for Sunday lunch - dining at 12.30pm the pub wasn't full by any means but had a few occupied tables in both bar and restaurant. It became busier around 2pm. I've read that the pub has been taken over by new management - this was most evident in the reduced size menu... More

After a successful January promotion the Wheatsheaf has extended its fixed menu. £3.50 starter/dessert and £10 main course. Food was great, my daughter and I had Baked Camembert with bread to share it was delicious! The Cajun burger seemed popular with most of our party, apart from my daughter who doesn't like anything spicy, but asked if she could have... More

Recently visited here on a Saturday lunch and the young lady who helped us was extremely helpful. My friend had special dietary needs and she was more than happy to help by switching out some of the ingredients. We were also all doing the dry January so she made up none alcohol cocktails for us, which really made us feel... More

Table booked for 7.30 Order taken in Bar and sat with food by 8.00 Problem was food was not right steak was over cooked and items missing from plates. No service to talk to or being asked if everything was OK an air of couldn't care came across when it was later mentioned. Do not order the ice cream unless... More

We visited the Wheatsheaf last Saturday in a party of 10 for my sons birthday. We have been there many times over the last few years but this was our first visit since, I believe, it had new owners. We arrived for our 7.30 booking and were told the table was being prepared so we sat in the seated area... More

It was a nice clean place to eat, a bit posh, but nice. While the food was good, and at the time well priced, currently a £10 mains deal is in effect for January. The bruchetta was tasty but a bit large and difficult to eat without it ending up all over the plate. The venison and mash was good... More

My wife and I were invited to join family for dinner with a set New Year's Eve menu. For starters my wife had beetroot risotto and I had seared scallops, both beautifully cooked and presented. We then had a gin & tonic sorbet. The fillet steak was cooked to perfection, with chunky chips, tomato and mushroom. We had a Rioja... More

I visited the restaurant on Friday night and was extremely pleased with the food and surroundings. Great portions, very tasty and presentation was superb. As a regular diner at other pubs and restaurants, we feel that the website could do with a spruce up. I know about the pub through local word of mouth but feel that advertising this little... More

Popped into the Wheatsheaf on Wednesday for a spot of lunch. I had a 'posh' hotdog with very nice sausages, chips and salad; very tasty and hit just the right spot. There were two choices of good ale on draft. Service from the young lady behind the bar was very good. There were only half a dozen or so customers... More

Went to the Wheatsheaf for a meal on Friday night. This was the first time in quite a while and a little apprehensive after seeing a few less than complimentary comments. I shouldn't have been worried, the service was excellent and the meal equally as good. The whitebait and mushroom starters were really nice, the palma ham wrapped chicken was... More

The Wheatsheaf at Titchmarsh is a modern village pub that serves high quality fresh local produce with open wood burning fires in the winter and a great heated alfresco dinning area in the summer . We always have a great selection of well kept ales and a popular selection of wine available to.
