We spent the night at the Talbott Inn and planned to eat dinner at the Tavern. They were busy (Saturday night) but there were open tables. Several people were waiting and were told someone would seat them shortly. No one was seated while we waited...More

Went with business associates and were not disappointed. Our server recommended a coupe of bourbons out of the extensive list and they were outstanding and very good. We all had different entrees and all were excellent. Our server made sure that we were aware (since...More

The service was good although slow. It was a busy day with an art fair in town. The sandwiches were good and the building is great. The attached gift shop has a pretty good selection of bourbon type items.

We stopped for an afternoon meal at Old Talbots Tavern. It was our second visit. The menu has wonderful southern favorites - I love the cheese biscuits and chess pie. Most of the decorations are original to the Tavern.

First the good: History of the place interesting. Menu: Good selection. The ugly: Even with all of the period pieces and history it all needs a good cleaning. Carpets, drapes and tons of knick knacks dusty and dirty. We spent 3 nights in the new...More

It was liking stepping back into history. The bar is beautiful. We just stopped in there for late lunch but the history of the building made it special. The food was good. You can still stay at the inn in this building.
