The Mad Greek is a must stop if your looking for amazing food and great service. Went during lunch buffet time and found myself trying everything they had to offer from eggs to gyro to pastitsio. I would highly recommend this place to any locals and travelers going to visit Lawrence, KS
I have been going to the Mad Greek for years. I have never had a bad meal or poor service here. All of the dishes are good, my favorites include the Greek salad, Gyros dinner, and my daughters enjoy the spaghetti dishes and the appetizers. They also have a good wine and beer selection.

My companion's gyro sandwich plate had a generous serving on gyro meat with trimmings on a fresh pita. Service was attentive. Overall, good food... More
I've only been in Kansas for 6 months, and was beginning to think great Greek food was a thing of the past. Then we found The Mad Greek, we've now been many times, and see many more in our future. It has quickly become a family favorite! Everything we try is great, not one single complaint. And, have yet to... More
My wife and I tried Mad Greek for lunch and were most pleased. Both the food and atmosphere were good, while the cleanliness and service were outstanding. Our waiter was engaging, knowledgeable and most professional. He loved his job and it came through in his service. We'll be back.
This is a long established Greek/Italian restaurant with old fashioned décor. The food is pretty good but not fabulous. Prices are very reasonable. The staff have mostly been there a long time and are very knowledgeable about the menu.
The food is authentic, fresh and great tasting. We had the luxury of meeting both owners (originally from Greece) - so cordial!
