This place is going downhill fast. From the lack of maintenance to the food. Sad to see it happen. Hope the other location is doing better. Won't come here again.

We loved it when we lived in KC and we love it when we visit. Flavored perfectly. The fries are to die for. Sauce has just a hint of spice. Meat cooked to perfection .

I love BBQ and I had never been in KC at lunch time before, so I cranked in BBQ into my Nuvi and Wyandot came out as closest - so I followed it through some residential streets to a major boulevard, a quick turn, another, then climb a hill to the rather non-descript building until I opened the car door... My husband and I went here for the first time recently, and thought that since they'd been in business over 30 years they must be pretty good? We were wrong! The brisket my husband ordered was very dry, and had no flavor to it. Only half his meat was even edible, the rest was fat/grissel. I ordered bbq chicken without... More

As you drive west along old State Avenue, and shortly before you turn off for the races at the Kansas Speedway, you will see an authentic log building on your left at about 84th Street. Stop. Lawd Almighty, STOP. Think country road house. Think beer joint with magical meats. Think FREAK SHOW. Well, it certainly will seem like a freak... More

This is a barbecue shack. The smell alone is almost enough to fill you up...almost. You can sit down and eat or order to go. The smoked ham, turkey and beef are all great. The barbecue sauces compliment the meat very well. If you like baked beans, this is a good place to have some. This place is busy at... More

If you are expecting an antiseptic atmosphere where you will be impressed with lots of awards displayed and celebrity photos (with the exception of KCK native Eric Stonestreet), go elsewhere. But if you want authentic hickory smoked meat with a uniquely flavorful sauce, this is one you'll want to try. Been going to this place for over 35 years--still the... More

The place is a dump. Put some money into the building and at least bring it up to human standards. The meat was all fat. Too bad. It used to be decent bbq. I'm done with this place. Got to Roscoe's in Edwardsville.

This is the worst bbq ever. Not just in KC. The Meat is like chewing on a leather shoe. I'll grant them 1 star for the fries (if you ask for them crispy).
