Great place to visit in a rural location with very friendly and helpful staff and a good meal choice as well as good portion sizes. Reasonably priced food, pleasant staff. Good value. Ok for lunch. Lots of choice. If you want basic food at a cheap price then can recommend this place
We had the Mixed Grill (2 Sausage, Thick Piece of Steak, Chicken Breast, Fried Egg, Garden Peas , Chips, £15each) Pint of Bitter was Excellent. A real lunch time treat . Friendly Staff good service
The Retreat has been consistent in serving the most extensive menu for many years.Everything from a sandwich to a main meal and a wide range of lovely desserts. Staff are always smart in appearance and very attentive. Well done Tina and team.
The pub has a wonderful setting, close to M5, but in a peaceful village setting. Very good meal too. I had the Baked Chili which was scrummy.
