5 of us went to the crown for lunch following a bike ride around the local area. The food was delicious. Well cooked and well presented. I had the lamb with potatoes anna and to follow the trio of deserts. The young staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely experience.

I had lunch here with a friend. I had the burger followed by the cheesecake. The burger was very well cooked with nice fries & onion rings. I then had strawberry & white chocolate cheesecake - in all honesty I couldn't taste the white chocolate but I was glad about that as I think it would have been a little... More

We had a pleasant lunch here recently in the Snug although the tables are a little too close together. Two of us had the scampi and one had the cod loin. The latter was very tasty and worth the wait. The scampi however was rather on the dry side and over-cooked which was a pity. The sticky toffee puddings were... More

Visited The Crown with my dad and my better half! Had a lovely meal with good service in a nice setting. We're not regulars at the Crown but head there every few months and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

I had occasion to have Sunday lunch here with my family, my daughter has been many times and always enjoyed it, when I asked my granddaughters where they would like to go for lunch they both said "that place with the fabulous chicken liver pate", so that's where we went and its not just the pate that was fabulous from... We visited on 8th January for Sunday lunch with another couple. A first visit for both couples. After a friendly welcome, we were shown to our pre-booked table. Drinks came quickly while we studied the exiting menu! One mushroom starter, one black pudding starter and two prawn cocktails arrived and the dining experience began! The starters were excellent with good... More

Sharing board, sandwich and sides to share for two, all gluten free. My girlfriend is coeliac but we like to share food, so other restaurants can be a nightmare when they don't have much to accommodate the requirements. A fantastic menu offering so much more than anywhere else. The food was great, friendly staff and good service. Nice atmosphere for... More

Our party of 14 went to The Crown on Boxing Day for a family meal. We had a long table with comfy chairs. It was a little chilly, however they had provided a couple of blow heaters to heat the area we were seated. We had pre-ordered from a set menu, that had plenty of choice. All the meals were... More

Having just moved to a village nearby, we were pleased to find this beautiful old pub with delicious food. The kids menu was varied and good value. I really enjoyed the beef burger and my wife had the rosti with goat's cheese. Of course we had to try the dessert menu and weren't disappointed.
