Navarrete's has been around forever. The owners came from Harlingen, TX, which is a Mexico border town. To survive the Sioux City market back in the 60's and 70's, the recipes they brought with them were altered to be less spicy. Ground beef, cheese and other non-mexican ingredients were added. They did keep the entomatada, enchilada and tamale; however meats... More

Worst food and experience I have had in a very long time. The server was fine, but the hostess was extremely rude. The food was flavorless.

I haven't had Navarre test food for many years after moving away. I ordered tri filled entomatado and she ordered a taco. My entomatado filled a good size plate and was close to the same price as the taco. I was nice to have a memorable meal after so many years. Cash only was strange but it all worked out... More

This was my first visit to Navarrete's and the experience was great. The building itself is unimpressive but the food is amazing and the prices are low. The staff are friendly as well. If it's your first visit, don't be discouraged by the appearance of the place because you won't regret eating there.

Can't beat the price! Great hot sauce and chips. Love the trio-burrito. I get it to carry out once a week. Love it. Friendly employees. Way better than those commercial burrito places that have popped up all over town. Sioux City owned!

The portions are huge! A burrito with two fillings for under 4 bucks. The gravy on top is more of a chili. Service was a little slow/awkward, but the food was good.
