This is just an amazing bakery. Whenever I am in Iowa this is a must. Dutch letters are great, but there are so many tasty things to try here.

I have been wanting to stop at Pella, Iowa for years and just never took the time. I had heard of the Dutch letters and that's what I originally went in for. Once I stopped in the bakery...it was like I was a kid in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory (except there was more than just chocolate and I wanted it... More

They bake traditional Dutch bread, pie and pastries along with various imported Dutch ingredients, meals and candy to buy. You'll get hungry from even entering the bakery

While in Pella, you have to stop and get the Dutch Letters. They are amazing and melt in your mouth. I always bring home extra and I'm sure that you will too!

What can be said that hasn't been said about this place...DUTCH LETTERS are the best! There is so much to try here! Apple bread is to die for. A definite must stop when in the area.

If you like sweets, particularly those of a bakery persuasion, you can't go wrong here. Doughnuts, danishes, creme horns... the list goes on and on... but the Pella icon is the Dutch Letter. If you haven't had one, this almond paste filled "S" may just rock our world. Pro Tip: Try the sugar topped bismarck, but shoot to be there... More

This is a wonderful and required place to stop -- and to purchase a supply of Dutch pastries and other Dutch items. The family that owns this bakery started it about 150 years ago -- and it is still going strong. It is a delightful place to visit, even if you are able to resist their wares. I cannot!
