The name is better than the food. $35 for two plates of meats that tasted like they had cooked in a crock pot or were from the previous day. Not worth it.

Took the family there for lunch- every person enjoyed their meal. Friendly, quick service, good portions, wide variety of choices for sides. I also thought the value was good for the quality of food.

Lunch was crowded. The food was below average, though many customers seemed to be regulars. Barbecue done blah.
Cactus Bo's is simply great. They are one of several that do smoked meats in the Des Moines area. The quality of food is top notch and the service was fast. I would rank them right there against Kue'd and Smokey D's for greatness of...More
