This restaurant was a real treat but unfortunately has been closed for some time now. I had a surprise birthday dinner there which was terrific and I will miss Chef's Table :(
This is my favorite anniversary restaurant. This is the most authentic French food I've had in Iowa City and I have eaten extensively in France.

Expect small portions, blend food. Expensive. No vegetarian dish (not that I'm a vegetarian, but sometimes our guests are), and what the "chef" whipped up was horrible. Not impressed.
I spent a fortune taking my friend here. They served foie gras and when I questioned the foie gras (violent goose meat) the chef came out and scolded me. My meal was TINY and mediocre, but paid $40 for it anyway.
