5 Star Thai Restaurant

My wife and I are currently traveling in our caravan from Qld to Southern NSW and have stopped for a week in Sydney to rest and explore. From a recommendation from a family member we visited this establishment and we are delighted to say that this is probably the best Thai food I have experienced outside Thailand. Every dish we had was beautiful. Service was very friendly and helpful. It is fully licensed but BYO wine is welcome. Parking in the vicinity can be a bit daunting but we managed OK. We would highly recommend this little restaurant to any Thai food lover. They also catered well for my wife's gluten free choices as she has ceoliac disease. Thank you, will be back on our next trip.

The best Thai in Sydney

We come here every month to dine in or take away, and also rely on TKK for birthday catering (we always receive amazing feedback)

very disappointing

Popped in here for lunch. One dish, a stir fry, was just okay but the Thai beef salad had so little flavour that you wouldn't even know it was Thai. Beef seemed to be steamed and not grilled, the salad was just tomato and cucumber with a bit of mint, very disappointing. Certainly not authentic Thai.

The food here has gone down in quality and flavours over the last 12mths - 18mths. It’s used to be so much nicer. It doesn’t seem to have changed hands but maybe different chef?

Disappointing

Not cheap, but very small serves for a group trying to share dishes? Restaurant nearly empty so why the miserly portions. Food was just OK. Wont go again

Lovely Dinner here with the family. Fresh, friendly, great service and good value for money! We were only visiting Freshwater but would recommend.....also has an outdoor area where dogs appear welcome!

Best Thai food in Sydney!

Honestly the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. Customer service is fantastic and the staff are so lovely and accommodating. Their panang and green curry is phenomenal!

Terrible expensive dismissive

Talk about throwing good money away - this is how I felt when I was served up soggy overused oily rotti and sickly sweet fish with overpowering sauce so the fish was barely recognizable - a memorable meal for how disappointing it was - it’s happened before and I gave them another chance - not again - I wasted my money and yes it was pricey for what you get - and won’t go back.

Amazing Thai food

Really nice little local restaurant with proper Thai food, always fresh and delicious, great specials board. We have eaten in many restaurants in Thailand and this is just as good. Very good service even when they are busy, which is often so do book or be disappointed. BYO and licenced.

Gorgeous food

Had x2 meals here whilst staying in Freshwater. Gorgeous food which was delicately cooked with many tasty spices and herbs. Really fresh and beautifully cooked tasty food. Well worth a visit.

Best on the Beaches

Thai Khaen Khoon is in my view the best Thai Restaurant on the Northern Beaches. The food is fresh and plentiful, the service is speedy and friendly and the only negative would be it can get a bit noisy. Na is the consummate host and this is a gem in the area.

This restaurant never disappoints. It is some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten, including in Thailand. Always, fresh and the best ingredients are used. Great service too! I would highly recommend for any occasion.

Great Thai restaurant.

I have been a regular visitor to Freshwater over the years and I have eaten here lots of times over many years. Always excellent service and great food. There is an extensive menu and BYO for wines. It is reasonably priced too. The staff are very accommodating with friendly smiles. The meals arrive in a timely manner and the owner is often seen chatting with customers. I have never been disappointed eating here.
