The kids and I popped in for an early dinner Friday night after a swim. We all had fish and chips & it was average at best, cold chips and the fish didn’t taste fresh. It was dead quiet & I’m feeling for the restaurants right now but there’s things they can do to show they are helping the situation out there....Not a hand sanitizer in sight!!!! No signs assuring people of their cleanliness measures ..
Terrible, unwelcoming music blasting in the garden area..
Surely the kids meals for $13 each could be served with a little chopped cucumber or something.. I want to support these places right now but I have to be honest and say I wont be back.

Harbours Diggers is a renovated luxury RSL in Freshwater. Large and spacious it offers five restaurants and several bars overlooking the ocean. One of its attractions is that groups can enjoy foods from all the restaurants from one shared location. Our group of six shared Thai dishes with hamburger and fish dishes. There was live entertainment. Service and prices were reasonable.

After a morning swim at Freshwater - it's only a short walk to Harbord Diggers Club. Easy check in to the club and the staff took our order without any fuss. Whilst the breakfast menu is not broad but who wants to have to select through a maise of options at this time of the morning - keeping it simple is just fine. And as a result the our food and coffees were served in a very short period of time. Outdoor sitting was also just fine.

We were staying in Freshwater for 3 weeks over Christmas and on the advice of a friend took out membership at Diggers. We love the cafe and was our default location for dinner on many occasions, especially for our kids, who loved the speed of delivery for their food. We tried to have something different every time but our boys especially liked the ribs, sweet potato wedges, chicken burgers and pasta. As the food comes from the different restaurants there can sometimes be a wait but we didn't mind. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed with a mixture of people coming straight off the beach and those making more of an effort for a night out - all are welcome.

This is a fun place to hang out with family friends or couples and there is choices for everyone. I was at the Harbord Diggers with my sister and her family and the kids could enjoy themselves while the adults had some time to ourselves. The service is good and the food was good I had their burger and it was juicy and delicious. I was telling myself not to eat all the fries. However they were good and I was hungry so they were all eaten. Overall the experience was very good and I would recommend the Harbord Diggers for a fun place to visit the location is great right across from the ocean.

Beautiful location and nice outdoor area, but unewlcoming front of house staff and average food at best.
The concierge was so unhelpful and disinterested it made us feel as though we were putting her out by just being there.
The bread for the prawn roll was so hard our jaws hurt afterwards. There is also a lack of seating for smaller groups and we found ourselves at a huge big table with just 2 of us, which was a common site.
Great seating for larger groups though.
Wont be back.

We visited for lunch and decided to try the Seniors Specials of grilled salmon with salad and chips and butter chicken with rice. The slice of salmon was cut about 10 mm (or 1cm) thick (or thin!), the salad turned out to be leaves and the chips were overcooked and hard.
I was hoping the butter chicken wouldn't be too spicy, no worries there. It looked lovely but had hardly any taste!
These meals are advertised at $14 each (except the salmon was charged at $15) and should be advertised as light snacks, not lunch. Very disappointing

This is so far from your typical club. Architecturally it is quite stunning, using with spaces carefully broken up. Location beside the ocean is enhanced by the large sunny outdoor area. Having the ability to sit in the sun and get items from the on-site restaurants is a great bonus. There are specialist restaurants, AquaFresca is excellent. Bar area is attractive with a good range of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. Free underground parking is a real bonus especially in summer

If you're not familiar with an RSL (returned and services league) club in Australia, make sure to stop in to at least one. This is the best one I've been to. There is a large indoor / outdoor eating area served by 5 or so restaurants. You can order from a barcode at your table and your food will come, mix and match, from where ever you ordered it. The ocean is across the street from the outdoor eating area. Through a number of visits, I got laksa, fish & chips, and dumplings. Great food, great service.

Food was extremely disappointing. Calamari fritters were like dried deep fried rubber bands. Pulled pork tacos were a soggy mess with a constant stream of watery coleslaw juice which turned the taco to mush. The pork ribs tasted like they had been boiled for hours then slathered with sauce. The standard of the food for the price was disgraceful.

My brother & I met for lunch & relaxed at DD Collective Cafe and enjoyed a delicious Prawn & Mango salad. Lots of green goodness & warm beautifully cooked prawns.
A nice cup of coffee & a sweet treat topped off our time at the Club
Always very friendly & courteous staff at the Club.
Look forward to my next visit.

We went here for lunch recently and had a great time. We went to the Vietnamese restaurant and everyone had a good meal and prices were reasonable.
The club it self is big with lots of eating and drinking options, a guitarist was playing whilst we enjoyed our drinks.

Good place to go for lunch early week when many restaurants are closed. Choice of food from different restaurants/cafes on-site. We usually choose from DD Collective and eat outdoors on the terrace. Great burgers, choices for vegetarians. Coffee is a bit of a hit and miss affair.

sunshine, fresh air and great food at a good price. Can even bring the pooch if you are sitting outside. Nice selection of cafe foods and 4 star food options from the restaurants

Third time here. Not let down again. Excellent service. We took the seniors meal this time as the fantastic ocean perch has been taken off. Had the grilled salmon which was perfect and quite large for a seniors portion. Very enjoyable meal.
