We have dined here several times, often with preschoolers (3!). Drinks come in small glasses, with lids/straw. Our little ones like "dipping" & each was brought a small, personal bowl of good tasting ranch dip. Sides include applesauce, carrots, celery... as well as the usual chips & fries. The mini-corndogs ae about ping pong ball sized & come in a... More

I wish i knew more about LBC when I was in college. They are a brew pub with a great selection of legitimately good beers. I like their Black Angus oatmeal stout, but they have good ipas and other less common styles as well. The food is a step above bar food as they have been a restaurant for a... More

I hadn't been here for years. Stopped in for dinner. Had a Black Angus Oatmeal Stout & Fish-n-Chips. Good service, beer, & food.

We stopped in on a New Year's Eve afternoon. They weren't packed, but seemed to be doing a steady business. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The duck sausage flatbread from the appetizer menu is delicious, and definitely enough to share as an ap, or an entire meal for one person. LBC also brews their own root beer, and it's excellent!

Breweries are kinda a thing in Lafayette. I don't like beer but wanted to try some just to fully experience the town's culture. They offer an inexpensive beer sampler where you can choose 5 beers from a long list of flavor descriptions - they were out of most of what I wanted to try but there were enough options that... This brewery has a really nice atmosphere, great service, good food, and great beers! It can be busy on weekends, but it never feels overwhelming, and the service is always good. The food selection is pretty typical pub food, but with some twists that make it a cut above the average. Quality is also very good and good value for... More

We started with the Piper's Pride Scottish Ale and the Brexit IPA. Both were very tasty and easy drinking. We were really just looking for a late snack so we settled for the Scotch Eggs and Bavarian Beer Nuggets appetizers to start and I had the French onion soup and my wife had the Cheddar Ale Soup. The Scotch Eggs... More

Very nice bar and restaurant if you are looking for a local brewery. Many types of home brewed beers and they also make their own root beer.

Went here while visiting our son at Purdue for a concert. We dropped him off at the Long Theater, and with some time to kill before the performance started, we stepped into the LBC for a drink and a bite to eat. My husband ordered IPA and I was pleasantly surprised to find they offered a cider other than Angry... More

This is a good place for a beer and a cheap meal. The service is efficient and friendly, the food good, and some fine brews.

Description
We are a mid-sized brewpub located in the heart of historic downtown Lafayette, IN, and just minutes from the campus of Purdue University. Our family friendly environment features a large dining area. We also have a spacious bar and comfortable banquet facility in our 2nd floor Beer Hall for the 21+ crowd. We were the 1st brewery to receive Indiana's small brewers permit back in 1993, and are currently the 2nd oldest operating brewery in the state. Our brewery philosophy is to brew traditional ale & lager styles while incorporating high quality ingredients and innovative practices to create a distinctive array of beers. Our kitchen focuses on generous portions of unique pub fare, and we feature quality, locally-produced ingredients whenever practical. Stop by and experience a bit of Indiana's craft brewing history. We hope to see you soon!
