I live 100 miles away and yet come here at least once a year to take home a corned beef sandwich. The staff is great with a sense of humor and you can tell they care and enjoy the work they do.

The food was great, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I love the choices of different types of food and drinks. I will be coming here again.

This is a great deli with excellent food it's kind of cafeteria style but sandwiches are prepared to order. We stopped on our way through Indianapolis based on TripAdvisor review and glad we did.

We were in Indianapolis for a Purdue football game, played at Lucas Oil Stadium. Meeting friends before the game, we wanted to have dinner close to the stadium. Shapiro's is 0.4 miles, an easy distance, and the menu had a lot to choose from. It...More

Shapiros has been in Indy for quite a while and has the best sandwiches, and best mac & cheese. Deserts are great too. Just be prepared to spend some dough. It's worth it. I would recommend the corned beef or roast beef. I usually get...More

Got the hot pastrami on rye! By the time you go thru the line to pay cafeteria style the sandwich is cold! This place couldn't hold a candle to a real Jewish deli! Won't be back!

I do not get all the love for Shapiro's. We stop every time we're in Indianapolis because my husband loves Jewish deli food. But we've eaten in similar delis, in NYC and in Miami, and to me Shapiro's is, by comparison, just OK. Admittedly, I've...More
