We had recently returned from a Caribbean cruise and a weekend in Miami. We were looking for some Cuban food to reminisce about our trip. This was just what the doctor ordered. Very authentic and great flavors. We will be going back soon.

We have visited the Havana Cafe a number of times and have enjoyed every dish we've tried. This little "hole in the wall" restaurant in Indy's "international quarter" offers authentic Cuban cuisine--from fried plantains, to Cuban coffee, to delicious stews. The owner and cook is completely gracious--and truly cares about her work. Try the sampler from the appetizer menu--you'll be... More

This was a very authentic casual Cuban cafe. They were really nice and the food was great. We had the Ropa Viejas a shredded beef dish in a tomato sauce with fried yucca and Chicken Milanesa with black beans and rice.

We had a great family dinner for 8 to celebrate birthdays. The food was delicious Cuban fare. There was only one other couple there the evening we were there which made it nice to be able to visit without lots of other noise. Would highly recommend this café.

Only Cuban restaurant in Indy, as far as I know. Food was great. Owner is very friendly, loves cooking and it shows. Decor is fun to look at. This is on Broad Ripple Ave. now but he needs more space. There are a few small tables and a counter with stools. Good vegetarian dishes as well as meats. Fun to... More

Love the food!! So much flavor.. And make sure to finish it off with a cup of Cuban coffee. We love coming here. Churrasco and Ropa Vieja are my favorite.

The food was really good, though not as seasoned as I usually find in south Florida. The atmosphere was very similar to the cafe's that I remember in Miami. The cafe con leche was a wonderful after lunch treat.

Tucked into a strip mall on the ethnically rich and diverse West Side of Indy, this small cafe delivers. Today I had the traditional Cuban dish Vaca Frita. Fabulous! The beef had crisp edges, was redolent with garlic, and moist. Accompanied with black beans, rice, and plantains, the meal was filling. Portions are large, so large I split tis dinner.... More
