This is like a 1950's diner club. Big red velvet curtains and live jazz. The food is great and changes every few months. Once a month they have a Showtunes sing along night that fun for everyone.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner after getting into Indy a little later than we had expected. We didn't make reservations anywhere, and this place had open tables and looked nice for dinner so we tried it. Kind of a throw back vibe to the 50s in the dinning room with live jazz music. The music was fantastic.... More

We went with another couple, had a couple of drinks, appetizers, and dinner. The food was very good and the service was great. The duck fat fries and the chips with aoli were very good. The burger I ordered was very good also. I will definitely go back.

We made 6:30 reservations for Sweetest Day Saturday. We were really surprised to be the only people in the dining room. We were seated at a high top table next to the wine cellar. For some reason while we were eating, the bartender decided to do an inventory of the wine and was less than 5 feet away from us... More

I celebrated my 30th birthday with 20 of my closest friends at Chef Joseph's for brunch. Chef Joseph's is one of few restaurants in Indianapolis that offers unlimited mimosa's/bloody Mary's. The live jazz music is an added benefit to the ambiance. The only reason Chef Joseph's didn't receive 5 stars is that the menu is very limited.

First, I have been here lunch on several occasions and it was very nice. Quiet. Cozy. Good for doing business. Not so much for dinner before the symphony. Excellent pianist. Great jazz renditions. He made sure we heard him though. My party was perhaps 20 feet from him and we strained to hear each other. At one point, I even... More

This is the second time I've been to Chef Joseph's. I travel to Indy several times a year for business, and I'm always looking for good local restaurants to try. I had a good experience the first time I was there, so I added it to my "must go" list for future trips. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The food was... More

The food and wine are top notch. The ambiance is great with the big velvet booths and live entertainment. Broadway sing along night is really fun.
