Noisy with small table seating facility near downtown Ft Wayne. We were rather disappointed in this restaurant. The ribs are tasty but rather dry. The pit ham was rather tasteless thin slices of ham. Not much parking available.

Great tasting BBQ. Kind of simple eating area with chairs that aren't real comfortable but they seem to take care of the area. Probably better for adults, due to some language in the kitchen, what's on the tv or signage, but not terrible by any...More

My family is from the Tennessee and down there they have all kinds of amazing little BBQ places but here in northern Indiana there are hardly any BBQ restaurants. What little there is take like a poorly made knockoff compared to real barbeque joints, EXCEPT...More

The best BBQ in FW! This place knows how to pull the pork. The dining room is nothing to be desired, but the food is good enough to cover for the lack of ambience, or you can take it out to your preferred locale.

Not crazy about pulled pork 2nd time I've tried and it's so fatty I am only able to eat a few bites. The sides are all amazing and my hubby does love the ribs.

A friend and I were in town for The Vera Bradley Warehouse sale. We asked a local for a recommendation for dinner and Shigs and Pits is what she recommended. We went and it was sooooo good. You order at the counter. Two sides come...More

As soon as you pull into the parking lot you cannot wait to order. The smokey BBQ smell is amazing. Order the Big Shig Platter if it is your first visit. That way you can taste a variety of items. Not a huge place inside...More

Description
Shigs in Pit started as a competition BBQ team composed of Mad Anthony owners, Todd Grantham and Jeff Neels along with their friend Stefan Kelley, a networks services manager for Logikos. Within a few short years the team amassed Eleven Kansas City Barbecue Society Grand Championships, Five Reserve Grand Championships and numerous other awards for their smoked meats. In 2012, Grantham and Neels (with the blessing of Kelley) along with Mad Anthony Brewing Company partner Blaine Stuckey opened a restaurant and catering business with their award-winning recipes at the corner of Fairfield and Taylor in Fort Wayne.

Shigs in Pit Barbeque is a proud sister company to Mad Anthony Brewing Company.
