This was recommended by a Bloomington couple and it did not disappoint. We had the lamb kabobs and salmon kabob. They were both excellent!

We have been to Samira several times, most recently last Saturday night. The combination special (a combination of a skewer of lamb, chicken, or rock cornish hen, served with quabili, manto and sambosa) is consistently good. For a small extra charge you can substitute a...More
We were visiting Bloomington for a day and read the positive reviews of Samira's Restaurant. The food was excellent... from the appetizers to the soup to the main entrees, the prices were reasonable, the service was friendly and professional, and the outdoor seating was pleasant....More
We enjoyed dinner on a Thursday night at Samira's and had an excellent meal. We both tried the special plates which included smaller amounts of several entrees. One included a lamb kebob, meat dumpling (extremely tender filled pasta), eggplant slices, a spinach puree, a samosa,...More

I dined at Samira's and found the food excellent quality and at a very good price. I can recommend the kebab combo, it included two appetizers, lentil soup, the kebabs, two vegetables, and pilaf. You can't beat the value for $20.

Charming vintage buildings, friendly service, white tablecloths. Delicious Afghani food - recommend the Chicken Manto. Generous entree with rice, pickled eggplant appetizer, bread, and soup or salad - $16 before drink, tax, and tip. Just lovely!
