We had a quick lunch a few weeks ago and it was very nice. My wife had the chicken tortilla soup which could have been warmer and I had the tomato basil soup which was quite hot. We like to bring in from here for dinner. Sometimes to supplement a meal. Delicious food! I enjoy the salads. The one w/shrimp is excellent as well as the vegan salad w/falafel.

We’ve been here several times as a couple. It’s also a favorite place to bring out-of-town guests. The food is unique and has always been good.

We found this place on TripAdvisor and were going to be in the neighborhood, so we stopped in for lunch. Stacked means sandwiches. Folded means tacos. My wife had the black bean burger with sweet potato fries. I had the grass fed beef burger with...homemade chips. The burger (two patties, and I requested Swiss instead of the normal cheddar) with slices of avocado was still steaming when delivered to our table. Wow! Tasted great, well-presented on checkerboard waxed paper in a tin plate. The homemade chips were outstanding and in large supply. The seating is available along a counter that faces the open cooking area or at a few tables up front, where we sat. Shortly after arriving, the crowd grew. Obviously, folks in the vicinity already knew something we learned - that you can get a great meal here. Ready to return for one of the folded choices.More

Great food and great service. The sweet potato fries are delicious as is the BLT with avocado and garlic aioli. I’ve tried several different items and they are always fresh and delicious.

I have visited this restaurant many times with friends, family and my partner. It is pricey, but worth it for the good food, smiling servers and bustling atmosphere! Always would recommend this place for a quick bite.

There are literally three tables, plus 10 seats at the counter. The counter has four conventional/ USB outlets/charging stations. good food. tasty,...but a bit pricey. For example, they recommend that you order two tacos -- three if you're hungry. The tacos are $4 - $6 each. The kids' meals are $7. I was especially impressed with the made-in-house black bean burger. TONS of different bottled sauces and salsas available. Moving here from Portland, OR, where sandwich-making is an important part of the local foodie culture, I was afraid that I'd never see another place as good as Lardo or Wolf&Bear or any of the many great sandwich places that dot the landscape there. When...I walked one day in front of this place in downtown Winnetka (on the east side of Green Bay Road) and looked at the menu, my pulse raced a bit - could this be what I've been looking for over a year? Well, I have to tell you - it was really good. I used to just love the duck bologna sandwich I used to get at the (now closed) Penny Diner in PDX, so when I saw the duck bacon-based BLT on the menu here at S&F, I had to give it a try. I skipped the fries this time, but regretted that decision almost immediately (I've since gone back and enjoyed them - very good) and just grabbed a soda from the refrigerator and waited for my to-go order to be prepared. I went at a busy time of day, but it didn't take too long before they had my sandwich ready to go and I took it outside, crossed the street and sat in a nearby park to enjoy my food. It was really, really good, although a bit messy with all of the tasty condiments included. I've now had it twice, so I will need to go back and try something different. My wife went with me once and had the bahn mi, which she said was decent although not at quite the same degree of excellent as the duck BLT was. Overall, I'd recommend the place and am eager to try out more of what they have to offer some day soon.More
