We discovered the restaurant’s food in April 2021 during covid time when we were looking for home delivery of a gastronomic dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary at home: we were amazed not only by the high quality of the food associations and wines but...also by the perfection of each detail including dedicated packaging and instructions by video. So, we decided to have a trip over as soon as allowed : we spent a wonderful and memorable moment. At our arrival, we get a very friendly welcome that made us very comfortable and at ease immediately. Then we had a light and fresh cava with home made liqueur, which was accompanied with original appetisers on surprising plates like a marshmallow with grapefruit IPA on crashed beer can, cracker parmesan and chicken foie mousse,… We opted for a 6 courses lunch with associated wines (Bob arrangement) : all dishes were a real discovery of combinations that were really tasty, well balanced and elegantly presented (a true artwork). To name a few, we remember the associations of lobster, asparagus, tonka beans and granny smith, or mackerel, tofu, avocado, … lamb, aubergine with miso and ratatouille … strawberry, yuzu, white chocolate, lotus. Coffee and delicious sweets on a trolley. The chef masters culinary cultures from across the world ; his cuisine is anchored in local terroir of high quality and is sublimated by the best ingredients from around the world, and excellent wine combinations. The terrace offers a superbe view, the dining room is pleasant. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed and friendly: the service is attentive and discreet. We are already planning a next visit with no doubt.More

Going for a lunch here is the best time to enjoy the beautiful view over the water. Everything(!) is relaxed: warm reception, easy chairs and nice tables, quiet atmosphere, no pressure nor long waiting, service very friendly, unintruding and yet attentive. For starters we were...surprised with 5 very tasty amuses to stimulate our taste in 5 ways. Then we had the delicious 4 course menu (my wife with an allergy had some perfect changes here), accompanied by well-chosen wine (BOB-arrangement). After desert they spoiled us with a mini chocolate wedding cake! Everybody should drink coffee afterwards with a choice of homemade pastries! We had just decided to celebrate our wedding here again next year (50 years, so taking all the kids and grandchildren!), when corona striked a few days later and all restaurants were closed. What a great memory we will for a long time have of how we had lunch for the last time!More

Dinner with the family during our holiday in Zeeland in April. Nicely situated in an old building with a magnificent view over the river Schelde. We had a four course alliance menu consisting of Oosterschelde lobster, stingray, lamb and mango desert combined with a beautiful...white Italian wine. Absolutely a must visit when you are around.More

It was a wonderful experience during our recent lunch. The location of this restaurant is beautiful with nice view near the water (must be beautiful with any kind of weather). The restaurant is not very big, but the atmosphere is so relaxed with very friendly...service. The food is just delicious, very good combination of tastes. We come back.More

We took a 5 course all fish / seafood menu (it was easy to replace the meat course for fish). Before starting with the 5 courses we had 6 amuses showing different tastes. With the menu, we had a wine arrangement that was perfectly composed:...starting with a light white, and finishing with a chardonnay with body. Enjoyed the evening and hope to be back in the futureMore

A really wonderful food experience! Very friendly service, very nice setting and atmosphere, top food and nicely dressed. This is definitely worth the michelin star they have. We went for the menu with 5 courses. The owners were very flexible to switch the meat course...for an extra fish course. It was much appreciated. Top experience !!!More

We were invited for lunch by our good friends in the Katseveer. This place has a good ambiance and the presentation of the food was remarkable. The quality of the food was outstanding but as is customary in this type of high-class restaurants presented in...oversized plates. I thought that we had passed this style a while ago. I found the price for the lunch menus a bit on the high side but alas as a guest you are are not supposed to complainMore

Located in an old but completely modernized ferry-building on the outskirts of the Oosterschelde, THE place to go if you're really into the flavors of the sea, the smell of fresh air and the bouquet of great wines. This is all about dutch hospitality and...of course a vast selection of great explosions of taste. Try the 7 course menu accompanied by a sommelier's selection of wines, you get a 4 course amuse selection as starter to tune up your taste buds for what is coming next.. heaven!More

Last night we visited Katseveer for the third time and each time the food, service and overall experience was of the same extremely high quality. The food is excellent. It looks beautiful on a plate. The accompanying wines are perfectly selected and the staff shows...that they know and enjoy (!) their work. The big smiles they have on their faces when talking to guests but also when not addressing guests, show that they love what they do. And boy, do we love what they do! The restaurant has a very positive vibe. This is what it feels like to be completely spoiled in food and drinks. And if you are the designated driver, don't hesitate to ask for their non-alcoholic beverages. They can mix you a virgin accompanying cocktail with any dish you get. Highly recommended. I cannot wait until I find an excuse to book my next table!More

Yes, ask them. The entrance can be reached via a steep flight of stairs, but if I remember well, there was an elevator ..
