My family had an excellent meal and great service. Very tasty food, nice atmosphere although the entrance area is a bit crowded.

We were a party of 8. Alankar offered us non-veg and veg options which all turned out to be delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is cheerful and the entrance decoration is such a fabulous photo spot.
We went for dinner on Monday and the restaurant was not busy at all. Yet the service was very poor. The manager took our order and forgot to put in the order for the main dish (Chicken Vindaloo). The dhal was also very bad -...we think it was stale and they just heated it in a microwave. They did not apologize or have any sense of remorse. There are plenty of fine dining Indian restaurants with better service and value for money. We will never go to this restaurant and will also tell our friends and family to avoid this restaurant.More
I stopped in for a work lunch to use their Wi-Fi not knowing what the food was like. Holy cow is it delicious. I boxed up the rest of it because it was so much and I’m going to eat it for dinner too.
Good authentic Indian restaurant with classic India dishes. Kingfisher beer makes the fun complete. Nice setup and good service
Absolutely amazing restaurant, love the food ,decorations, atmosphere, service on spot very friendly and helpful, i go there all the time because i love Indian food, but this girls party they were so amazing, i recommend highly 👍🍸🍲🥣🥘
Our favorite. Keema Samosa, garlic Naan, chicken Tikki Masada Rogan josh, basmati rice. Excellent service and a beautiful place.
WE HAD TO CALL THE COPS ON THEM. I visited this place last night with my fiancé and a few friends. My fiancé has a service dog for her medical condition and the restaurant staff denied us service as they thought our dog was a...pet. Even after explaining to them that this dog is a service dog for medical alert they went on to actually calling us fake. It was so discriminating and very rude of them to ask us for medical records. When told that we are not required to share personal medical information with them, they called us as liars. They were extremely rude and unwelcoming. Please refer the ADA laws. ada.gov/regs2010/service…. So we had to call 911 to report the incident, a cop showed up soon actually after going through the ADA laws which he mention he did. We asked the staff to refer the laws but they said they don't have time for all that. The officer was very apologetic and explained that they cant deny service to us only based on a service dog to the manager of the restaurant. I wanted to leave immediately after they said they wont let us in, but my fiancé insisted that we file a complaint so that they don't do this to someone else. The officer issued them with a verbal warning. The next time they deny service to anyone with a service animal they would be fined and then the next would be considered criminal offense. So when the cop said we will have to be served, they said they are closing now and we couldn't dine in anyway. We were never gonna accept their service or food and left frustrated and discriminated. Note to the owners: 1. Please educate your staff with the state and federal laws. NO - YOU CANNOT ASK FOR MEDICAL RECORDS OR SERVICE DOG CERTIFICATE. THE LAW PREVENTS YOU FROM ASKING. ada.gov/regs2010/service… 2. I see you quote "Atithi Devo Bhava" in few of the replies to the reviews here but no we were not even considered as humans. Your staff kept us standing for more than 45 mins, giving us those stares while we waited and you guys were completely unapologetic even after the cops came in and informed them what they were doing was illegal. Please teach your staff some manners and how to treat people with dignity. 3. Have your staff treat customers with empathy and respect the privacy of someone's medical condition. SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE!More
Tourism, traveling, and trade were adversely affected by the Corona Virus Covid-19. Moving out and penning down the activities – past and present – were restricted and limited. I was anxiously waiting for the resumption of flight operations from Pakistan. We got the opportunity and...I, with my wife Sabiha Sagri, was flown to Chicago by Emirates Airlines on July 8, 2020. Our sons Tanvir and Tauqir Sagri received us at O’Hare Airport, Chicago. The tiring travel made it imperative for us to enjoy a meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Mantra Restaurant was the right choice – good food, good ambiance, and above all, the price not heavy on the wallet. The staff was friendly and the service wonderful. The décor was appealing and awesome. Wheelchair accessible and vegetarian friendly, they offer other services like porch (outdoor) seating, reservations, free Wi-Fi, delivery, takeout, and table service. They accept credit cards. Finally, we had a good time in an ambiance conducive to comfort and care.More
Fabulous food. Spicy curry, big pieces of chicken. Chicken pakora had amazing masala flavor. Yummy garlic naan (though no mozz on the mozz garlic naan). Big portions, though I wish a small amount if rice came with mains instead of having to over-order as a...side. Still, rices delectable.More
Gorgeous place for Indian cuisine. I like the ambiance, the service and of course the food, all the plates we tried were delicious. Well done to the chef
Thank you. We look forward to see you again.
Spouse had the Chicken Tikka Masala and I had the Lamb Vindaloo which were both excellent. We also ordered the samosa and paratha which were well-prepared. I think a little more tender lamb would have been nice but to get real vindaloo in Chicagoland was...great! We've traveled far and wide to only be disappointed by the vindaloo in other Chicago restaurants. Vindaloo is the ultimate spicy curry which originates in Goa, India. Service is excellent. There was a real pine tree decorated for the holidays which smelled wonderful. An enjoyable experience overall.More
We have been here more than once but, every time we enjoy the food. Love the consistency with their food quality. Very nice ambiance and decor.
I went to this place with my colleagues for lunch. They have good lunch combos at normal price. But today food didn't look and taste fresh. After explaining 3-4 times finally they understood what i wanted in combo. I ordered pindi chole and paneer makhni. Pindi...chole with too much oil and tasteless. Paneer was stale and had a bad taste. The best thing in the combo was naan and water. I have been to this restaurant for 15-20 times and the quality was always superb. Not sure what happened today.More
We ordered Veg jalfrezi and Kadai paneer for pick up.The quantity was too less with respect to the price being charged i.e. 15$ per item. I think if you dine-in the quantity will be more. But for pick up the quantity was very less. Also...veg jalfrezi had 80% carrots and rest 20% onion , capsicum , broccoli, tomato. Taste also wasn’t that great. I may rethink before ordering from the same place again for the price that we are paying.More
