We visit McNally's quite often, however the last few times, we have been disappointed. My chicken salad was terrible, with few pieces of chicken cold and dry, further more when I told the waitress, she said, that's he way it is...nothing I can do about...it...unbelievable. ..bad experience.More

Standard Irish pub decorated with dark wood and soccer jerseys. Lots of televisions showing sports, of course. All but the screen mere feet from my face. It was dark and I asked the waitress if she could have it turned on to the Bears game....She said no problem. But it never came on so I have to ding them on that. The Guinness was a proper pour so there's that. The breakfast boxty was basically a huge omelet, Irish style. A potato crepe stuffed with scrambled egg, mushrooms, onions, Irish bacon, and Irish cheese. It was marvelous and very very filling. Like curl up and die filling. Outdoor dining available so you can die in the sun.More

We went 2 weeks ago with some friends of ours. They have been there many times and recommended it, whereas it was the first time for my wife and I. Our waitress Stephanie was THE BEST!!!! The shepherd's pie, the steak & frites, the house...burger, and the corn beef rolls were wonderful. The beer and wines were also great and next time I will be getting the beer bar flight. We can't wait to go back for another round and will be asking for Stephanie again.More

Love the location in heart of town where you can eat outside in a pleasant atmosphere away from the cars on Main Street. Been here with friends, family, and couples...lunch and dinners. The menu has lots of choices, including healthier ones. My favorites are the...fish tacos and Ahi tuna. Can get crowded on weekend or nice summer days where the wait is rather long to get your food.More

Great Irish fare and in warmer weather a nice out side courtyard venue roped off for 3 other restaurants. Service and food are consistently good here. Rubens snd corned beef outstanding!

just what you would expect from an Irish pub. Good food with an Irish tilt, lots of great Irish whiskeys and plenty go Guiness, along with other Irish brews.

I have never had a burger like the ones they have here. I'm definitely coming back, so much to choose from, so little time. Beer was cold and plentiful., staff friendly as in the isles. Irish folk music was fab!!!! Making this my weekly place....Cheers....More

My parents have been going to McNally's for years! I have always enjoyed it when I have gone with them. My siblings and I decided to have our parents' 40th wedding anniversary party in McNally's private level. They knocked it out of the park. The...food was great, the desserts were wonderful. The private bar was excellent and the bartenders were quick and really polite. Colm was quick to reply to emails and the whole experience was great. My parents had a wonderful time, and so did all of our guestsMore

My wife enjoyed the fish tacos. Large serving and good presentation. Drinks were adequate, Jameson for me. I ordered the trout speciality and was disappointed. The bus boy noticed that I was not eating and asked what was wrong. He got our server who offered...to replace the dish and took it away. I didn't order anything else and was not charged. Left a good tip for the server and slipped the bus boy something. Because of the service I would return but probably order something more traditional.More

Expected Irish type bar. Food is average, drinks are average, service I'd good. Decor is inviting and warm. Not a bad place to stop but nothing special.

a friend and i were heading to steel beam theater and asked a st. charles friend for recommendations of places near the theater that might be quick. we picked this place, which is right next door. in terms of convenience, you can't beat it. i...had a long way to go to get there and was running late, so i called my friend and asked her to order a reuben for me so that we wouldn't be late to the theater. i'm not sure how long it took to get the food there but i had a wait after i got there so i'm not sure it was all that quick. my friend ordered a chicken and avocado club sandwich that looked great. my reuben was....a little odd. instead of sauerkraut, it had cole slaw on it and the cole slaw had apples in it. it wasn't terrible or anything, i'm just not sure it was a reuben. staff was friendly and helpful. ambience was insanely noisy. i'm really of two minds about whether i'd go here again before going to the theater--i think that i ordered poorly and that there are better things to be had from the menu--ingredients are fresh and good quality. and it's really steps away from the theater. still, so so noisy and not really that quick. it's really 3.5 dots, but you can't give half dots--anyway, better than average but very good seemed too high so i gave it three dots.More

Who is dumb enough to go Tongan Irish bar on Saint Patrick’s day without a reservation, this guy. We walked into a very crowded, loud bar and as I read the OpennSeating tonight sign four people stood up at the table next to me, bazinga....Our waitress was great and very quick. My only disappointment is they put a coarse cole slaw in your Rueben instead of sour kraunt. That is not good, still can’t believe how well our waitress served us on this special night.More

Like Ireland...only closer...a delightful dark wood pub with Irish mementos on the walls and a Guinness barrel bar...food is tasty and generous...popular with the locals! My husband ordered The Full Monty Irish breakfast which comes with toast, beans, 2 Irish rashers, 2 Irish sausages, mushrooms,...tomatoes and two eggs. I had the Killarney Burger which was topped with bacon, Irish cheddar and Guinness coated onion rings. We were both happy with our entrees!More

My wife and I love to visit St Charles as their is a great yarn store on Main St. Right next door is McNally’s Irish Pub. Since we have been to Ireland many times and McNallys brought back many memories, we always go to McNallys...as their food, service and decor have been excellent. Not this time! We always order the pork and beef sliders and what a disappointment on this trip. Usually we receive three sliders each with home made fries. This trip the order was served with two sliders each and fries which were cool at best. They not only cut back on the number of sliders but the pieces of meat had shrunk. I complained to the waiter and he said that the management cut back on the lunch specials but I can guarantee you not the price. Needless to say, that was out last trip to McNallys. There are too many nicer restaurants in St Charles to choose from other than McNallys.More

That's right, count your change. I paid for our bill with cash and when I received my change I noticed that it was off...way off. I waited for the wateriness to come back to ask about the shortage. 10 mins goes by and I don't...see her anywhere. I finally go to the bar to ask to speak with her and there I see her sitting behind the bar off to the side, hiding! She sees me and I'm about to ask about the missing change and she said, 'Oh yeah, sorry I forgot to give you the other $14' ?!?! Wow...just wow. It was not a good visit sadly. 2 stars because at least my boyfriend's dish was good. Head's up...they put apples in the coleslaw. Not my thing.More
