Went here for lunch with friends. Service was fast and food (Katsu Curry) was hot and delicious. I do note that we tried to order some sushi, but the chef was out that day. We had plenty to eat, so it wasn't a problem, but I hope it doesn't happen regularly.

We love sushi, so why not try a place that is located close to us. We went to the place where the map is marked and found that at this location, Algonquin Ave. (in Chicago) is one of the shortest streets in the Chicago city limits. The street numbers are in the 6400 series. There are no businesses on this... More

If you are looking for good quality Japanese food at a reasonable price, this is the place for you! Everything I've had here is delicious, and often it's the only way to cure my craving for those restaurants I went to when I was in Japan -- yes, it's that good! The sushi is very fresh, and when I say... More

If you've ever had a craving for food, this is the place to be! One night the crave for some juicy curry pork cutlet was noshing at my brain. In dire need for satisfaction I happened to ask the shop owner of a small but delicious bakery. He directed me to Sakura where upon I was pleased that one, it... More

… you might have found a place like this, in the 1800's. It's not a fancy place, just clean and neat. The emphasis here is on the food, and pleasing their guests, They do both exceptionally well. Atmosphere and decor are secondary considerations. The place is simple and pleasant, not gorgeous. Then the food starts to arrive, and you quickly... More

I ate here my first night and loved the shusi and the tempura. It has a varied and interesting menu.

We had diner here with four people and tried the different cuts of fish, rolls and other dishes. The quality of the fish is very good, good taste to the tuna and yellow tail. The waitress was a but uninterested. They have some nice Japanese beers. The rest rooms are not great. All in all an OK experience.

This restaurant is my favorite Japanese place. The place isn't so appealing on the outside because of the parking lot but when you get inside it has a nice calming atmosphere. The people there are very nice. As soon as they sit you on your table, they give you a nice hot towel for you to wipe your hands. It's... More
