Redfortes is my sons favourite Indian restaurant and as it was his 40th birthday yesterday, it had to be where we went to celebrate. As always the food was lovely, plentiful and the staff very friendly . The restaurant was spotless. We feel so very sorry for the bad press they have received recently and we hope other regulars like us will stay loyal and carry on supporting them. We have been lots and lots of times and have never experienced any problems. Please look beyond sometimes over zealous inspectors who mark you down because the building is a bit old and the carpark not perfect. Please, give them a go and I'm sure like usyou won't be disappointed.

Interior is shabby, food ok

Visited for a family birthday. Not busy and seated straightaway. Has been a few years since have been here and have to say the interior not that appealing! Trying to get as many tables in as possible makes it look cheap. Food was not bad to be honest if not I feel slightly overpriced! You can get a better atmosphere and food for less in Lower High Street, you know where I mean. The Redforte takeaway has been brilliant for years but the restaurant doesn't match their high standards.

I’ve been using Redforte takeaway for over 20yrs, always excellent,perfectly cooked and brilliant service. Shaun (owner) is a gentleman nothing is to much trouble for him. Can’t ask for more for a restaurant.

Have used this restaurant a few times and though it sounds boring it’s always the same - excellent!! The food is varied and tasty, the staff are nice. I booked on behalf of around 35 adults, all came away suitably full and praising their food! Will be booking again for that annual event I think! Best in Wollaston- and there are a few!

We frequently go to this restaurant, as we really enjoy the food here. Service is good with friendly staff who don't rush you. We usually reserve a table if going at a weekend, but this isn't so necessary during the week. You take your own drink as they are unlicensed so you don't get fleeced on drink prices. They do sell soft drinks. They will also give you a jug of water if you ask, with ice and lemon free of charge. Have never had a bad meal here and we have been going since they opened!

We have used this takeaway on a number of occasions and always been pleased with the food. However last night we ordered a meal on collection we had to wait an extra 40 minutes as it was not ready at the time we were told to collect. The takeaway was very busy and a number of people were getting annoyed at the time they had to wait. Surely to continue taking orders when you are running so far behind is not ideal! On returning home the starters were ok but both main meals were very poor. My balti special curry tasted medicated. The meal was clearly cooked in a rush. Very disappointing. We will not be using this takeaway again.

This restaurant has become our favourite place for take home food.Shaun and his team are always friendly and extremely accommodating and ensure that you get exactly what you want.The chicken tikka biryani and chicken tikka masala were both top notch and the nana bread is lovely too. They actually delivered a meal home for us recently too.I can't praise this place enough,simply the best!
