We stopped for lunch passing through Southern Illinois based on reviews. We were not disappointed. I had the Hot Platter. Choice of several meat. Chose the meatloaf and all come with mashed Russet potatoes and green beans. My wife had the chicken and dumplings. Dinner rolls are huge and homemade. The dessert pies top off a great homemade lunch So... More

No our first visit. We make it a priority to eat there when driving through. Went for lunch on a Sunday. No wait for a table. Smoked russet potato loaded with pulled pork. Delicious! Texas Melt. Warm. Cheesy. Yum! Coca Cola cake for dessert. You MUST try this! Wish we lived closer. Always great food and friendly service.

They have a huge pie selection and I chose banana split and it was great. My granddaughter had a cinnamon roll that was huge and tasty too. I was disappointed in the chicken and dumplings I got, some weren't completely done so I left half the bowl I would definitely go back for pie but maybe need to try something... More

While returning from a trip south we were looking for a nice Sunday lunch. As I frequently do I consulted TripAdvisor and selected Honeybakers. I proved to be a excellent choice. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas. They also served homemade bread. All very good although I should have eaten a little little less. The restaurant was very... More

I miss the BBQ nacho plate from a couple years ago, their replacement which is served in a mason jar is pretty good and also has a nice uniqueness but the taste of previous nacho bbq plate piled high with everything was IMO the best I have been able to find worldwide.

Very clean and nicely appointed. Great music and not too loud. Geanna was my waitress and was outstanding. Had an open faced roast beef meal with green beans and a salad. Plenty of food and very good. The deserts looked heavenly but I was too full. I will plan better next time. I recommend

This restaurant was a nice place. The service was very good. The side dishes were small but good except the sweet potato. I don't know why it smelled and tasted like flowery soap. They were very sorry about that. The desserts were good but the derby pie is a far cry from the real thing.

My family stopped at this restaurant on our way home from Nashville. We just happened to see it, and we like to try to eat at local places. The food and the service were FANTASTIC!! I would highly recommend trying this place out. We all had pie after we ate as well, and it was amazing! I can't say enough... More
