Our first time here, just after leaving the Morton Arboretum XMAS light show. I had read how busy this place can be... when we arrived looking for parking... there were so many cars coming and leaving. My 1st thought was shoot - maybe its going...More

A local favorite, the Lodge packs them in. At dinner time expect a long wait unless you're there to unlock the doors yourself. Lunch is less hectic, especially on Saturday. The food is the draw, of course, hearty German fare. Large portions are the norm....More

Been here many times, and always enjoy the experience. We always sit in the bar side, since we enjoy the ambience there. With a large selection of tasty, and hearty food, and a huge beer selection, it never gets boring. The beer list provided is...More

This was our first visit. It will not be our last. The food was great and the service was even better. We recommend the duck.

The family and I were looking for something different, something not typical, something other than the standard franchise cookie-cutter restaurant. We found it! Food was amazing, wait-staff was extremely attentive (despite that it was very busy), the atmosphere was cozy, and the place was clean....More

My wife and I joined out of town friends who wanted to eat at Bavarian Lodge. We previously have had mediocre experiences here but we wanted to be gracious about their choice. The roast pork was so tough it was difficult to cut with a...More

Home cooking in a restaurant at its best! My favorite is the roast pork with the sauerkraut and dumplings. The apple pancakes with sour cream or applesauce are outstanding just like mama made.

Outstanding drinks and food. I had the crispy pork shank with red cabbage and German potato salad. My wife had veal cutlet with gravy, mashed potato and red cabbage. Everything delicious. I had a bottle of hoegaarden beer that you can't find too many places....More
