If you like mexican food this place is for you. Very clean location with great customer service and a nice atmosphere. Given the freshness and quality of the food they have very reasonable prices. They make great burritos and chicken/shrimp tacos that come with slices...of avocado, lettuce and sour cream.More
Word of mouth and a write up in the local newspaper were positive, so we gave it a try. $3.00 tacos are the Tuesday special. We ordered barbacoa, steak, and ground beef tacos. The barbacoa was flavorful, if just a touch dry. Ground beef and...steak tacos were served crispy. A welcome accompaniment to excellent guacamole was sliced jicama. Tortilla soup was tomato-based, creamy, and rich. Flan for dessert was the best I've had in a long time.
This little storefront is down the street from a couple of sit-down Mexican restaurants. Bypass those and head here. It's not fancy- order at the counter, staff brings the food to your table. They have a small bar with margaritas and a small outdoor patio.More
Fresh, clean, inviting! They have a nice variety of tacos from bacon & chorizo (sinfully delicious) to rib eye (fabulous, slightly singed and perfect) to grilled shrimp (loved it). They also have salmon and tilapia tacos. Margaritas (regular and skinny) are available as well as...beer, from bottled indies to the more conventional variety. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Big screen TV on the wall. I did a carry out but I really loved my tacos and I certainly plan to return.More
A simple menu -- 13 tacos at $4 or less; 5 burritos (nicely presented); assorted sides; 4 desserts; and margaritas.
The restaurant has been open less than a week, so there are still some touches that need improvement -- the free wi-fi didn't work; had...to ask for the two table salsas; the bar is still bare plywood.
Even though Guanajuato is in central Mexico far from the coast, If you are a fish taco fan, there are three different choices - tilpia, salmon, and mahi mahi.More
