We ordered paella on a Friday night and could not believe the abundance of seafood in the dish. This is our go to spot for great seafood on the Nort Shore
Went with a group of friends....service was horrible; staff didn't seem to know what to do first and they were out of basic sides;
We hoped for more but settled for a nice dinner..... nothing special or noteworthy. Years ago the fried shrimp seemed much better, now with a soggy presentation on overly battered shrimp. The hush puppies were excellent and the salmon was enjoyable as were the shrimp...fajitas. The restaurant is overly crowded, with chairs from neighboring tables touching yours and limiting conversation unless you’re willing to include the next table in your conversation. The Full Bar isn’t... lacking spirits like brandy, etc. The drinks were strong and well received despite being delivered two at a time.... forcing half the table to wait..... Apps were undercooked grilled calamari and shrimp ..... they needed a few minutes more on the grill! Service was uneven, kind but not as helpful as they could be. Portions also were generous. Busy popular place but it could be better....More
Really good food, and friendly service. Parking a bit iffy...but try to get there early. Casual dress, and comfortable atmosphere.
First time dining at Lucky Fish and I will be back! We started out with the house salad and really enjoyed it. Fresh and flavorful...loved the balsamic vinaigrette. I ordered the grilled shrimp and my husband had the scallops....both were delicious! We dined with another...couple and they ordered the same dishes. Everyone truly enjoyed their meals. I can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu.More
Friends of ours from Deerfield met us at Lucky Fish. My wife and I have been there several times, but they never had dined there. It was a Saturday night and was crowded. We had to wait about 30 minutes and were seated on the...outdoor patio. If you have never been to Lucky Fish, you must know that it is top quality seafood, but in a very informal setting. The two don't seem to match, but the seafood is outstanding, just don't expect a fine dining experience. The outdoor patio, however is very nice. We started with calamari....it was OUTSTANDING. The breading and seasoning were perfect. We also had the hush puppies for an appetizer and they were very good. My wife had the seafood paella. It was full of seafood and was a very large, fresh dish. I had the seafood molcajete. It was served in the lava bowl and was HOT. Large portion, lots of shrimp. It was very good. Our friends had the whitefish almondine and shrimp tacos. They both loved their meals. The top shelf margaritas were very good, as well. Overall, it was a great meal. I would highly recommend you give Lucky Fish a chance!More
Since the revamp, they have decided to not serve the Oysters Rockefeller so they lost us on that one. That was the main reason we went there. Seems across the board, the prices went up and the quality went down. I don't know why they...closed down because they didn't do anything except ruin the menu. They are definitely making some poor choices. Too bad.More
I've been eating lunch and occasionally dinner at Lucky Fish for several years. Missed them when they closed down last year. Now they're back with a new menu and the same great food and staff. We ate dinner there (outside seating on a pleasant evening)...and had a great meal at a very fair price.More
Two of us for dinner. We tried the gezpacho soup and then the lobster. Enjoyable meal. Good service was provided.
