We enjoyed this old-timey Italian Restaurante, with Deano, Sinatra and Tony Bennett playing softly in the background. Bread sticks and garlic dip was a nice start. The cheesy Mushroom appetizer was excellent. We had the Eggplant Parmesan, which my wife said was "good", while I...had the Cajun Tortellini which was very, very good. Our server was exceptional...she knew just when to stop by and when not to. When they tell you the plates are "HOT", believe them. We'll be coming back.More

What a disappointment! This was our first visit in quite a while, and we were eager to return. But this is definitely not the Chianti's that we remember as a fine Italian restaurant where we enjoyed many wonderful meals in the past. The Sausalito Fettuccini...lacked seasoning and sufficient Alfredo sauce. Getting our server's attention was next to impossible. We will not return.More

We have eaten at Chianti's for a good 30 years, when they were downstairs, and now that they're upstairs, and always loved it. Our last visit was a big disappointment, though. Service was extremely slow, even though there weren't many tables full....slow from the bar...& slow from the kitchen. Wait staff didn't bother to check back with us after bringing a course or a drink. The salad had been sitting out for a while before it came to the table -- lettuce was room temperature & a little limp. Shrimp scampi was soft -- not springy when you bit into the shrimp. It was certainly a let-down after years of stellar food & service.More

A small, but quaint Italian Restaurant, good service and good food. A little on the pricey side but worth it. There is no private park, so trying to find a parking space in downtown Geneva can be a challenge. If you don't mind the challenge...then I recommend going to Chianti's.More

My wife and I are in Geneva around once a month and we are hooked on several restaurants in the area, but we had never been to Chianti’s until this past week. An employee of a nearby shop had recommended it, so we gave it...a shot, and could not have been more pleased. The atmosphere is very cute and feels “homey”, the staff is incredible, and the food is wonderful. Every table has breadsticks, and they bring fresh homemade garlic dipping sauce for those breadsticks. It was incredible. My pet peeve when we dine out is having to wait for the check after we’re finished. It was not a problem at Chianti’s, because I hated to leave.More

Sunday is Senior special and you get 20% off great food and server. The Halibut and Salmon were outstanding. We had a great table by the working fire place. Usually find parking in the front or side street.

Food**** Ambiance**** Service**** I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was a tad on the bland side. We also had the tortellini which was a little better than the Alfredo. The ambiance was nice on the outside patio and service was also good. Chianti’s...is a decent Italian Restaurant.More

We go to Geneva every year for a car show in St Charles. This is our favorite place to eat. The food is amazing. The bread sticks and creamy garlic dip is out of this world

We went for lunch on my birthday. Started with the stuffed mushrooms...so good! Will definitely order them again the next time we’re here. Actually, can’t wait. Bought some yesterday and will try to duplicate as I can’t wait until the next time we visit. The...pasta dish I ordered came with cavatelli but they readily allowed me to have the same preparation but switch the pasta. My love had the Halibut which she liked. The restaurant has about six tables outside. We ate inside. Don’t expect a hip trendy modern look inside. Think old school Italian with Louis Prima, Dean Martin, etc.playing softly in the background. Not fancy, but the food is good and the prices can’t be beat.More

We stopped here for a quick lunch. The food was very good and everything was fresh. Service was fine. The only thing I could say that was a little negative was the restaurant was a bit worn around the edges. The bruschetta was excellent,my husband...enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs and my salad was very fresh.More

This is a small, intimate Italian eatery located in what appears to have once been part of a house just off the main drag in Geneva. The dining room has several sections, all of which afford an intimate dining experience. The menu is extensive and...the service is attentive without being bothersome. They bring breadsticks and an amazing garlic dip to start out with which I could have made an entire meal out of. The salad was cold and crunch and presented very well. All of our entrees were hot, tasty and very, very good. Seek out this little place when you're in Geneva for a great dining experience.More

We have always enjoyed Chianti’s but the seems to be slipping. Food was not as good as the past, it lacked flavor. Service was slow though they weren’t busy. I understand the appeal of the old school interior but now it is just looking old....Staff was super nice as usual. You can’t get by only on your reputation for long, there are plenty of places trying harder.More

The wife and I along with my sister- inlaw and nephew enjoy a great dinner at Chianti's in Geneva, IL. We were sitted promptly and the waitress took our orders. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was very good. My and I...shared an entree of Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo which had tricolor noodles. I also had the Beef Minestrone Soup and my wife had a salad. The entire experience was worth the cost.More

I've been enjoying eating at Chiantis once a month for years. I usually order Gluten Free Chicken and Peppers with Vodka Sauce. It comes with homemade soup or salad, both excellent. Thin bread sticks with garlic dip is served. Also hot crispy rolls with butter....In the summer we love to sit on the patio and in the winter by the fireplace. Its a extremely cozy with classic Italian music playing. The servers are very attentive and friendly, especially Dave. Prices are quite affordable and lunch or dinner potions are offered. I give them five stars !!More
