This is our second Door dash delivery. Super fast and the food was perfect. The 5oz filet on the Country House steak sandwich is so tender and perfectly cooked med rare. Served Open face on bread. LOVE the German potato salad as the side. Good...portion too. Hubbie got the burger and fries. Great burger. Love that the bun was wrapped seperate so as not to get soggy! Excellent packaging. The french onion soup is very good. Nice rich broth and not too salty. Keep up the good work and look forward to ordering a special dinner from here again.More
Went there as 2 couples and we all ordered different items. Service was excellent and all the food items were very good. Plan to go back.
We have been to this place multiple times. Unfortunately, this was not a good visit. We are arrived for our reservation on time at 5:30 PM and place our order within five minutes. A half hour later, we had to ask where our food was....It was finally served to us at 6:30 PM. They blamed it on, lack of help in the kitchen. We didn’t buy it, because there were other tables who arrived after us and we served first. Our server took $5 off our bill for the delay. Was this a result of COVID? Not sure, but hope it gets better for them.More
Situated on a busy intersection this restaurant looks like it was magically plunked from northern Wisconsin, or at least the Dells. Woodsy lodge comes to mind. The interior is surprisingly compartmentalized with several smallish dining rooms. The menu is varied with something for just about...everyone. I had the Muffaleta and it was the best I've ever had and I've been to NOLA. It was soft and moist and greasy with olive spread. My wife had tenderloin sliders and my single bite was delicious. We had onion rings as sides and they were perfect. Our server was uber friendly and we actually were given real menus to read rather than the camera maze on the table top. Outdoor dining is available and with the current state of affairs that's a good thing.More
Experienced an extremely disappointing dinner with dirty plates given to us for our appetizers and again for dessert plates. I was so applauded at the dirty dishes, I didn't even eat the dessert!
We wanted to get carry out since restaurants are closed. We visit this location about 5 times a year. We called to see if there was a special menu, but asked us what we wanted and they would advise. We ordered a Country House burger...and a Bison burger and got two side of potato salad, We picked our order up and the lady was just so nice, took the money, tipped well, and left. The food was awesome and just hit the spot. Thank you Country House. To anyone reading this for the month of April 2020, please, please, order take out and consider this location. It was great.More
Good American-style food. Mostly I get a good dinner. The cocktails could be improved. They say that they have a full bar, but sometimes they do not have specific ingredients or fresh ingredients, such as lemons (bottled lemon juice?)
My husband and I especially like the Kentucky Bourbon Ribeye with mushrooms and blue cheese crumbles.
Usually a crowd and for good reason. Only thing I miss is no peanuts in the dining rooms, just in the bar. The food is good service relatively quick and a friendly atmosphere. Great place for lunch or a casual dinner; been there for both.
Typical American restaurant with annex a bar with large choice both food and beverages. Don't miss the Tuesday night oyster plate! Very large plate of fresh oyster from South tasty and cheap. Excellent.
My new customer set this meeting up, so I just had to show up and present for an hour and a half. I have eaten there before and thought it was OK, but this was a joke. We had the back room at 11AM, when...it opened, and nobody else was there. My customers ordered and the food looked average. We spent over $100.00 for an hour and were rushed outed of the room the minute people came in. Will not happen ever again.More
My family has been going to Country House for several years. We know and understand that Saturday nights can be very busy and we’re OK with that. Because it was still 90° outside, we chose to eat indoors. We prefer being seated at the bar...or the dining room adjacent to it. The first room they put us in was loud and echoey. We could barely hear each other and asked to move to a different area. The second table was better, but not by a lot. Here’s where our visit turned sour. Our server was abrupt and appeared to be impatient with us. When it came time to order my meal, I was asked what side dishes I wanted. Since I was not aware of there being side dishes I questioned what they were. I do not wait on tables, nor do I ever want to, but if I were a server, I would read them off to my guest. Instead, our server pointed to my menu and said, “They’re right there” and proceeded to take my brother’s order. We love Country House, but will move ourselves if this server approaches our table again.More
Casual , family friendly, reasonably priced. Wide variety of foods offered, grandson absolutely loved his cinnamon doughnut holes with caramel sauce. I am ready to go again!
